This is the day when the Arch Angel Gabriel appeared before the Virgin Mary saying Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the son of the Highest. (St. Luke Verses 31, 32). As a patriotic holiday, March 25 is observed as a day similar to July 4 in America, by French speaking people July 14, and other significant days of independence. Rev.
