Show 9 Altomatfvesstudfod Friday, October 81, 1978 The Summit County Bee CooMllo, Utah on JordsnsDa project TheBureauof Reclamation as a part of it comprehensive plannlBg for the propoicd Jordanelle Reservior at Keetley Junction hi Wasatch Chanty, is currently studying alternatives to stabiBse none of the lakes fat tho forest above Kamas which feed into the Provo liver. According to Bureau of the reservior win most likely be ooerable la approximately ten years. .When this occurs the Bureau intends to transfer the irrigatioa storage for the Wasatch and Utah County osen from fifteen forest lakes to the JocdaneUe Reset-vio- r. Under this plan the water level of most of the forest lakes would be stabilized to the recreational amenities and particularly the fisheries of these lakes. According to Bureau offlcals the lakes not stabilized will supply the Kamas-Frand- s area with irrigation water and maintain a fishery flow in the Provo liver down to the Jordanelle Reser-vio- r. According to BoR Project Director Donald C. Cole, the proposed plan would provide better irrigation storage for the Kamas-Ftend- s water users than what they presently receive. At the present time water users in Summit County have rights to 1,871 acre feet of water from the Provo River drainage system, which is 17 per cent of the total water rights far this drainage area. The alternative currently IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SUMMIT COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH under study is to utilize Trial and Wan lakes, which combined hold a maximum active capacity of approximately 5.000 acre feet, for irrigation storage for the Kamas Francis plateau and one or two other large lakes, possibly either Lost or Washington lake or both, to maintain an adequate flow in the Ptevo River to protect the river's fishery qualities. How win the stabilization of lakes plan affect the Kamas Francis water users in dry years? Mr. Cole asserts, There may be dry years when the water users will not be aUoted their full water right allocation as was the case hi 1934 and 1961, however, under the stabilization plan water storage in dry years will be better than it has been in the past." Harvey Hutcheson of the Central Utah Water Conservency District elaborated that during extremely dry years water shortages may be eminent. But whin explains shortages occur, Jordanelle aud Hutcheson, Dear Creek will also be very shallow and therefore the shortage will be distributed equally among all water users in the Central Utal Water Conservency District." . According to Hutcheson In cases of extreme emergencies the stabilized lakes in the forest could be drained, but only after authorization of the U.S. thence North (TOW West 299.99 feet; thence South 8936'36 East 166.14 feet; thence South 02324" West 299.99 feet more or less to the South line of said lot at a point Beginning 3393.09 feet South and 228.91 feet West from the Northeast corner of the NorthSouth 8936'36" East 166.14 east 14 of Section 10, Township feet from the point of beginning; 2 North, Range S East, thence North 893636 West S.L.B.&M., and running thence 166.14 feet to the point of N 0350'15 W 1585.54 feet, beginning. thence N 4340 E 134.01 feet, thence N 3700' E 228.60 feet, Subject to easements, restricthence S 8807' E 240.94 feet to tions and rights of way the easterly line of road, thence appearing of record or enforce-Al- e S 0219' E 1346.68 feet along in law and equity. said line of road, thence S 00915'' W 151.32 feet, thence Purchase price payable in lawful S 5353 W 176.60 feet, thence S money of the United States. 6741' W 148.0 feet, thence S 4644' W 61.10 feet, thence S DATED this 18th day of 3846' W 222.90 feet, thence N October, 1976. 035015 W 67.90 feet to the GEORGE L ROBINSON, EARL ROBINSON. Decker's five votes came from Park Gty delegates who were selected overwhelmingly over Wallin's delegates at the mass meetings held here last month. The convention's outcome has been interpreted by many as the rest of the County denying Park Gty the candidate of her choice and the chance for the representation she sorely deserves and must have. They asserted that nomination for the Park City representative must be given to the mun rightfully selected by the Decker.
