Show i. L. a A f v?- policy for advertising, promotion and publicity has been developed by the Moiintainland Tourism and Publicity Commit- tee. The policy is adapted from a similar program developed by the Utah Travel Council. The UTC matches funds with multicounty regional promotional organizations , th r o u ghout the state. Summit, representing Utah and Wasatch counties, has passed a resolution allowing the committee to match funds with local organizations in the three counties. According to Bob Wilde, director, the program is to stimulate travel marketing interest among the private sector. Hopefully, we will get local business groups and civic organizations more directly involved with the tourism economy in their community. Our program is aimed at drawing visitors from outside of the region, as well as from out-of-sta- te. Glen Overton, chairman, stated that this is the first time a program likethishas been offered at a local level. For good luck we had Grant draw the numbers for the cedar chest and nine other prizes that were given away and he did bring good luck to the follow27 . - Ladies Softball Games Scheduled to Daughters of Rhodes Valley Camp, Daughters of Utah Pio-ii- 66 rs Thursday, July 5, the Rhodes Valley Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers, held their monthly meeting at their relic hall, with Captain Louise Wagstaff conducting. Chaplain Mary Sweeney gave a very special prayer. Captain Wagstaff lead us in singing our theme song, Daughters of Those Grand Old Pioneers, accompanied by or ganist, Cora Dahl. Minutes were read by secretary and treasurer, Marie McCormick. Mae Olsen, our County Captain, received a letter from State Captain Kate Carter, reminding us to put a float in the parade for July 24, also to put a program on for Sacrament ' Meeting. We had with us also second vice County Captain Irma Peterson, both Mae and Irma are daughters of the Rhodes Valley Camp. Ladies Softball games for the coming week are all scheduled for Thursday evening, July 19. Kamas H will play Coalville at the Coalville City Park at 6:30 p.m. Sexy Seventeen plays Wanship at Henefer Park at 6:30 p.m. Henefer plays Hoytsville at 7:30 p.m. at Henefer Park.
