Show Woodland News Mr. and Mrs. Robert Last Saturday night Tom and Leila Davis took some youngsters tubing. David and Lance Piper, Mike Prescott and Bobby Sweeney. All went to Lindsays Hill in Center Creek just out of Heber City. It made for a fun night for all who love show fun. Kenneth White and Mike Fitz- gerald, some more tubers, met with some tragedy this last week ,ad they were tubing on the road when they slidintoatrucl. putting both of them in the University hospital. Both will undergo surgery. We are sad to see Tom and Mary, Coleman leave. They will be moving to Midway where Tom will be working. Marlene andSidney Lewis enjoyed a nice evening with Larry and Debbie Johnson bowling in Heber City, Sunday night. Along with bowling they had a nice . dinner. Mona Leavitt had a fun time Christmas party, Friday, Dec. 29 for aU her brothers and sisters. At the party were Don and Hune Jones and family, of Idaho; Janett and Dorale Perks, of Logan; Kenneth and Brenda na White and family, Blaine, Gines and family, all of Kamas; Lee and Connie Gines of Morgan. Some were from Wyoming, there were Earl and Cinnie Duke of Washington. Games were played and a nice dinner served; Courtney and Kimba McMil lian and son Tyson of Murray were up this last weekend visiting Kimbas Mom and Dad, Blaine and Lawanna Gines. Sure is nice just being a short drive from our loved ones. Sundays Fast Meeting at the Rhodes VaUey Ward was very started back to school this Monday for a half a day. Sure are ' happy for you Nadine. Rick and Shawna Bailey of Salt Lake came iq on Fast Sunday to bless their little son Brandon Bailey. The babys great grandfather blessed him. Steve Hardman and Jack Clegg had a great time snowp mobiling this last weekend around the valley. . We are sorry to hear Marla Gines is feeling poorly.Sure hope she feels better soon. Jimmy and Karen Thompson of Cedar City took their son to the Primary Childrens Hospital. Some tests wiU be taken and possible surgery. Happy Birthday Dennis Gunn, Sheryl Warner, Che stine Foust, Carl McQueen, Richard Osmond, Elda F. Pace, Bonnie J. Snyder, Diane Wilson, Lisa McMichael, Ross Pace, Joylin Mitchell, Elizabeth B. Clark (in memory) and Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Geary Mc- Gregor spent two days in Logan visiting with his sisters and families there, the AsaCrapos, and the Jan Jensens. They took their daughter Robyn back to Logan with them where she attends school. Mrs. Edith Carlile is feeling a little lonely this week as her son Robert Carlile and wife Wanda who have been here staying with Edith for several months, left for Virginia where they will make their home. Edith went to visit with Mr. and Mrs. John Carlile over the weekend. ' Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Knight just returned home from a wonderful trip to St. Louis, Missouri. They accompanied LeOra and Carlile back there to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Barrows. Mrs. Barrows will be remems. bered as Norma Knight Bar-row- LeOra stayed in Mis- souri to be with Norma when she had ner new baby. News arrived that the little new daughter was born last week. The Barrows have one other child, a boy, who will be at home waiting for the new little sister. Woodland was saddened to hear of the accidental death of Dana Evans last Wednesday morning. Dana was the son of Bob and Norma Evans, who are living in a cabin at Killcare. The funeral services were held at the Woodland Ward on Friday and he was buried at the Francis Cemetery. A large crowd was in attendance at the funeral to extend their sympathies to the Evans family. Our hearts go out to you, Mr. and Mrs. Evans. Theres a sparkle in the eyes of Joyce Humphries and a sparkle on her finger, also. Joyce received a diamond from Gary Moon over the Christmas holidays. Congratulations Joyce and Gary. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Max-fie- ld spent several days at the home of their parents in Salt Lake City during the holidays. The day they planned to return to Woodland was the day of the big snowfaU in Salt Lake and they were snowed in. One would expect that to maybe happen in Woodland, but not inSalt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jean Lund of Salt Lake were up Saturday and' stayed overnight with Dwayne and Thelma Wilde. A nice Sunday dinner was prepared that afternoon. Kevin Wilde, is the new paper boy for the Deseret News for those of you who are wondering who is doing such a good job. Verl and Wendell Dugdale gave a New Years party. The guests were Dick and Arlene Wilde, Ted and Ivy Hallam, Dwayne and Thelma Wilde, Oliver Dugdale and girlfriend Barbara of Heber City. A nice ham dinner was served. They returned in time to be back to school. Mrs. DeLoy Winterton has been iU and in the hospital in Salt Lake. She is feeling better now and at home. She had all of her family home for Christmas day, though she spent the day in bed, they enjoyed being all together and visiting. They enjoyed a nice Christmas dinner, and DeLoy found out that he was a pretty good cook, with his wifes instructions and help. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hardman spent two days last week in Salt Lake City where they attended the mink show attheSalt Palace.
