Army in WW H in France and Belgium; cooked in CCC Camp for a number of years; cooked In Steve'sCafein Roosevelt for a number of employe of Safeway in Roosevelt for over 20 years; years; retired Pink and Blue Bob and Pat Richins received lovely Christmas present with the birth of their third child on Christmas Day. The new little guy weighed 7 lbs. His brothers are Micah and Tony. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Russ Carrigan of Morgan and Mrs. Jeanne Richins, Henefer. a Marion Items Janiel Brown reports a Laminate volleyball tournament was held Tuesday in Bountiful. Thomas Cossey has been in the hospital. He is home now and feeling a lot better. Max Lewis who has been in a Provo hospital having surgery, is now home. His mother stayed in Orera with Virginia Lewis. The Blaine Cosseys enjoyed having the George Barbers and Renae's p a r e n t s and grandmother visit them last weekend. Christmas program was presented Isst Tuesday by the Primary. Santa and three of his helpers visited the children. We want to thank everyone who helped to make it a success. A Steven Hardman, son of Hugh and Marjorie is home on leave from the Navy. He reports back to Lamar, California Jan. 17. Rhonda Hardman, daughter of Hugh and Marjorie has a pretty diamond. The lucky fellow is Marv Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mitchell. They have set the date for March 25. Lavern and Mae Lewis had their families home on Sunday to celebrate Lavern's birthday. Those present were the Weldon Lewis family, LaGrand Lewis and family, all of Coalville. Larry and Mary of Nephi; Jerry and Cathy of Oakley; Max and his girl friend, Barbara Rus- sell. Jerry and Doris Louder received word from Tamra. She Is now in Taiwan and is all settled and really likes it there. Mr. and Mrs. John Mitchell were hosts to a Christmas Eve dinner for Jerry and Cathy Lewis, Bill and Karen Lefler and Florence Mitchell. Thomas Black, 78, of Coalville died Dec. 27 in aSalt Lake hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1893, Coalville, to Joseph and Elisabeth Robinson Black. Married LaDell Rawlins, Nov. 21, 1921, Logan; she died. Mr. Black was a member of the LDS Church, Veteran WW1, former American Legion member, Member Veterans of Foreign Wars. MarriedSarah Jane Lester, April 19, 1903; she died Dec. 4, 1921. Married Benta Josephine Christensen, April 24, 1924; she died March 12, 1962. Mr. Jones was a former resident of Hunter. He served a Southern States LDS mission, 1900. Koh-kon- The couple is planning a spring wedding Temple. in the Manti Savings Bonds Sales Stay Up November Savings Bonds sales are continuing at a brisk pace throughout the county and state, according to word received by State County volunteer Bonds Chairman W. E. Gile. Summit County Sales for November came to 310,306 which brought the sales total to $72,228. Kane County whose volunteer Bonds Chairman is Mrs. Karen Alvey of Kanab continued to lead the counties in achievement of the 1971 Bond sales quota with 139.2 percent. A total of 10 counties have now attained 100 percent or more of their quota: Weber, Davis, Summit, Uintah, Juab, Millard, Carbon, Grand, Wayne and the aforementioned Kane County. State-wiBond sales for November totaled $2,315,319 and te tbe total came to $25,618,419 or 93.5 percent of the 1971 Bond sales quota. Nationally sales of Savings Bonds rose In November and Bond holdings reached an all-tihigh. E Bond sales alone came to $437 million, the highest November sales since 1945, while H Bond sales, at $20 million, nearly doubled last November's figures. Mrs. Bernett Smith has received word that Edna has been very ill with the flu during her visit. Mrs. Lorea Blonqulst Joined Mr. and Mrs. EldonStembridge and family and Mrs. Gordon Stembridge on a trip to Ogden for the public viewingof the new Mormon Temple. Mrs. Blonqulst reports that over 10,000 people have taken advantage of this opportunity to go through the Temple before it is closed on Dec. 30. They plan to open the Temple for ordinance work in February. Following their thrilling tour of the Temple the group enjoyed lunch with Mrs. Geraldine Ercanbrack before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. John Schofield, their children Mark, David, and Ramona of Colorado spent a few days last week end with her mother Rhea Bagnell and her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Judd and family. While they were here they ail had their Christmas dinner and the children opened their Christmas presents.
