Mrs. Zelma Pendleton and daughter, Mary from Spanish Fork spent several days visiting with Mrs. Millie Pendleton. Mr. Glen Woolstenhulme and wife, Margaret and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Woolstenhulme of Montpelier, Idaho visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sherd 'Woolstenhulme. Bob brought a bus load of twirlers down from Montpelier for the Oakley rodeo. Bobs daughter is head twirler of the group. Mr. and Mrs. JimSmith spent Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Smith in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Vernon of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tryon of Salt Lake visited with Mr. and Mrs. Malin Vernon over the weekend. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Peterson Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sweat and daughter, Jackie from Salt Lake spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith. Clark of Bountiful, who served in this position for 3 years commencing June 27, 1968. Also, anyone caught turning in false alarms will be punished. If a minor, their parents will be punished. Mr. Thacker said that the amount of false alarms that are being turned in is getting way out of control and there is a big expense on the fire trucks every time they are called out when it isnt necessary. Annie Birds Bill is the foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderton. The Bills were here in order to have their family sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple. While here they attended the MIA dance festival. Kim Anderton and Patsy Bill danced in the festival. Recent overnight guests at the Anderton home were; Mrs. Kathy Ferguson, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Fisher and son and Rick Anderton and his fiance. They are planning a September wedding. Carol has recently returned from a vacation to Ely, Nevada. Barbara Gilbert accompanied her and they stayed with friends there. They went boating and water skiing. Alan and Sheila Lewis and three of their children, Tracy, Parry and Becky have beenona very nice trip. They went to Lava Hot Springs and enjoyed several hours of swimming. They visited the Crystal Ice Caves twenty miles out of American Falls. They went to Pocatello and Burley, and returned home by way of Evanston. Vanee stayed at home to run the station for his Dad. Julie Lambert celebrated her birthday on Friday. Seven of her girl friends enjoyed the afternoon swimming at Heber, then they returned to Julies home and had a real fun slumber party. The SouthSummitHighSchool marching band left Wednesday morning for Calpry, Canada where they will participate in the Calpry Stampede. This is an honor for these young boys and girls to be invited tq participate, and an experience they will never forget. We give our thanks to Mr. Willard for all the time and hard work he has given, to prepare these kids for this event. Jimmy Anderson, son of Key and Pat of Salt Lake spentafew days visiting at the home of Alan and Sheila Lewis. The families of Victor and Afton Atkinson had a family reunion over the weekend. They all camped out iq at Shingle out of eighty Creek. Sixty-fithree members were there to enjoy hiking, playing ball and all the fun things there are to do on an outing, plus Just relaxing and eating. Ray and Linda VanTassell and family of Morgan spent the weekend visiting their families, the Bud Pitts and the Clayne VanTas sells. Linda left Sunday with her two children and a baby sitter for Denver, where she will attend school. She will be home in September. We are very happy to hear that Yvonne Jewkes was able to come home from the hospital. She is improving each day, but it will be a long time before she will be out and around apin. Roland Peacock ami children were all home over the weekend. Roland and daughter Vickie both are going to school in Logan, and Craig and Erls are working in Logan. They were busy at the Peacock home over the weekend putting new shingles on. Stan and Nevada Best were happy to have all of their family home mi Monday, thirty-eig- ht in all. Stan and Arlene Butler and baby girl visited over the weekend with his parents, Dale and Lorna. They live in Farming-to-n, New Mexico. Their two daughters and their families spent Sunday and Monday with them, Morris and Arna Roper and three children and Dale and Hope Hortin and three children, and friends of Dale and Hope and their children. On Monday, Lucille's niece, Mr. and Mrs. Closs Stewart and family and Mr. and Mrs. Straw and family. They enjoyed the parade in Oakley and some went to the rodeo. Curt and Lucilles daughter Gaye and her family are in Carmel, California for the summer. Robert is studying the algae in the ocean. Dean and Shirley Black and family recently returned from Currland, New Mexico where they spent a few days with their daughter and Emery and Brenda George and two children. His daughter Grace and husband Paul Frazier of California are here staying with him for a few days. Mae Olsen is also home from the hospital and feeling some better. They meet every week at the home of their leader, Vickie Flinders. The program began with foe Sitterettes from Coalville presenting a skit. Lori Boyer, Kathryn Crandall, Margene Smith and Carolyn Louder, who was taking the place of Ann Wilde, as she was unable to attend. They showed us what they had learned about Child Care. They were assisted by Sheri Snyder and Diane Louder, their leaders. From the 4 Kitchen Cookies Club in Marlon, Joan Wilier and CrystalSmlth gave an interesting demonstration on preparing sandwiches and showing attractive ways to serve them. Their leader Is Tamara Louder. From Kamas, Annette Ritchie Louise Mitchell and Marclle Wagstaff showed how to fix a delicious casserole of ham, potatoes and cheese. Their leader is Louise Wagstaff. Two girls from Marlon presented a clothing demonstration on Mix and Match Ward robe Planning. Rhonda Smith and Margaret Jenson showed how planning can give you a greater variety of changes with fewer clothes In your closet. They worked hard making mix and match outfits for dolls to demonstrate this. Then with clothes from their own wardrobes they showed more good ideas. Their leader is Vickie Flinders. Another interesting demonstration was given by Linda Braithwaite of Hoytsville. Her demonstration was on cake decorating. She showed how to properly ice a cake. Then she showed how she decorates one and how to make roses. For her project she is led by Bertha Braithwaite. The Judge for our contest was Mrs. Sharlene Anderton.Slw did an excellent job and helped the participants by giving suggest-tiooo improving their demonstration. Linda Braithwaite and Marpret Jenson were selected to go to the State competition. Rhonda Smith was also selected but not quite old enough.
