Anderson was hostess to the Entre Nous Literary Club at her home on Wednesday evening of last week The book review, Karen by Marie Illilea was given by Mrs. Earleen Gear. It was a very interesting review and much enjoyed by all the members. A short business meeting followed the review, with President Mrs. Alex Blight, conducting. After the review and the meeting the hostess served tasty refreshments to Mrs. Steele McIntyre, Mrs. Floyd Nadi, Mrs. Frank McCabe, Mrs. Ray Badertscher, Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mrs. Leslie Randle and Mrs. Robert Thomas. Thursday Afternoon Club Thursday Afternoon Club met at the home of Dora Rose in Mammoth. Dinner was served at 1 p.m. after which the members enjoyed an afternoon of 600. Prizes were won by Minnie Painter, first prize; Lily Erickt; son, second prize and and Gertrude Hannifin, consolation. Also attending were Lucille Hansen, Donna Paxman, Barbara Sorensen, Ada Schmide. Leah Altken was a special guest Order of Eastern Star Tintic Chapter 18, Order of Eastern Star met in regular session Monday evening. Worthy Matron Leola Farnsworth, assisted by Worthy Patron Ernest Farnsworth, conducted. At the conclusion of the rou- NEWS Lila Milne and Harold Cole were united in marriage on Tuesday, November 4, at the home of Mr .and Mrs. William McDonnell, Long Beach, California. Bishop McDonnell officiated at the ceremony. The new Mr. and Jdrs. Cole will make their home in Salt Lake City. Methodist Church speaker, Don Davey, Salt Lake, will conduct the Sunday morning services at the Eureka Methodist Church. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday School will be at 10 a.m. preceding the church service. Superintendent Linda Gourley will be in charge. -- JSirlkd ... Mr. and Mrs. Frank Larvie are the proud parents of an eight pound six ounce baby girl bom on Sunday, November 2, in Utah Valley .Hospital. The fund drive is conducted annually by the Utah Tuberculosis and Health Association, according to Royden G. Derrick, this years chairman. Most of ' the 852,000 raised in last years Christmas Seal campaign were utilized ini starte ing respiratory disease classes. This year a ten percent increase is hoped for with the emphasis being placed on air polution. Christmas Seals have become a cherished holiday custom throughout the world. Usad on mail, holiday gifts and cards, they are colorful reminders of the continuing battle to eradicate tuberculosis,' detect chronic respiratory diseases at an early stage and rehabilitate lung cripples. The Christmas Seal campaign is a' direct mail solicitation for funds. There is no appeal. Citizens of Utah are encouraged to answer their Christmas Seal letters with contributions. 93 of the funds leno Gear. Mr. and Mrs. William Rob- erts journeyed to Salt Lake on Sunday to attend a birthday party for their granddaughter, Theresa Jensen, on her sixth birthday. The party was held at the home of the Roberts niece, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hale. Also attending were Theresas parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim door-to-do- or Jensen, her sister, Stephanie, k and Mr. and Mrs. Michael and daughter, Felicia. Two year old Cory Erickson, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson, spent the weekend in Mammoth with her ' grandparents. Cory is the daughter of Mr. end Mrs. Richard Eickson of Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Andrew and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Bushman, Provo, returned home on Thursday evening after spending a few days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Riggs and family in Riverside, California. Mrs. Riggs is the former Jenny Andrew. Mrs. Oscar Erickson spent Friday in Provo combining business with pleasure. Eureka Ladies of Elks Club met in regular session on Tuesday evening with President Thelda Eastwood presiding. After a routine business meeting, the members enjoyed an evening of Bridge and other card games. Prize winners were Grace Laird and Alliene Far-rehigh score, and Naomi Cushing, raffle. Hostess for the evening was Alice Peart who served delicious refreshments to n, the group. Christian Service Women's Society of Christian Service will sponsor a smorgasbord dinner Sunday, November 9, in the Memorial Building from 4 to 7 p.m. All kinds of food, prepared by the members, will be served at the dinner.
