Show October 18, 1968 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Hunters report on Elk kills Craig Caulsen was home for the weekend visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Juniors, sophs hold dinner Successful elk hunters reporting in were Bill Dean, Floyd Evans, Vance Underwood, and Howard Fields. Mr. Fields hunted in the Manti area. Others in his party were Ron Nelson, Norman Schow, Ray Schow and Brent Fields. Howard was the only lucky one in his group. the University of Utah. On Thursday, October 17, 6 p.m., the at mores of Tintic High gathered in tho home economic room for their honorary initiation dinner. The sophcmores sent formal invitations to the juniors, and prepared for them the following dinner: Fruit cup, hot rolls, and pie for dessert. At the conclusion of the dinner, the sophomores presented a program in honor of the Juniors. It was an enjoyable evening for all attending. . ne GOOD Democratic Candidate Following the initiation the Deer Hunters Dance was held. It was sponsored by the Tintic for High Pep Club. The theme was Shoot Em". The dance proved to be one of the most exciting and delightful dances of the year, since everyone came in hunting attire: slacks and red sweat shirts suited for the Juab County Commissioner all-cu- Erickson, and consolation, Mrs. Gertie Hannifin. Others attending were Mrs. Della Berry, Mrs. Barbara Sorensen and Mrs. Lucille Hansen. Scott Ainge, four year old son of Mr .and Mrs. Paul Ainge Women's Society of Christian Service met last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Car-len- e Eastwood. The Devotional was given by Alliene Farren. President Carlene Eastwood conducted the business session and the lesson was given by Pansy Treloar. She also welcomed three new members into the Society: Mrs. Jane Wentworth. Mrs. Ruth Bossingham, and Mrs. Marie Sharp. Further plans were made for the Smorgasbord, which is scheduled for Sunday, Novem- ber 17. At the close of the meeting, Mrs. Eastwood served delicious refreshments to those named and to Mrs. Annie Smith, Mrs. Mabel Butler, Mrs. Rowena Hanks, Mrs. Viola Nevers and Mrs. Virginia Randle. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Frank Ewell on October 25. Ladies of Elks Ladies of Elks met Tuesday evening in the Elks club rooms with The! da Eastwood, vice president conducting. A regular business session was disposed of and a social evening was enjoyed, with Bridge furnishing the diversion. High score was won by Alliene Farren, the cut by Naomi Cushing and Leona Laird, raffle. Hostess for the meeting was Alice Peart. She served tasty refreshments. Bridge Club Mrs. Don Giles was hostess to the Bridge Club at her home last Thursday evening High score was won by Mrs. Dee t, Mrs. AlClement, the liene Farren, honor prize, Mrs. Minnie Painter, and Mrs. Joseph Bernini, consolation. Delicious refreshments were served to those named and to Mrs. Frank Peart, Mrs. Sterling Burras ton, Mrs. Roy Gour-leSr., and Mrs. Darrell Franks. Luncheon was served at 1:00 p.m, followed by an afternoon of cards with 500 furnishing the entertainment.
