They marched in the Flag Day Parade in Provo last Friday. Saturday the band was in the Santaquin Homecoming Parade. It has been a real treat for the folks on Leadville these past few weeks as the band practices playing and marching nearly every week day morning. Interested residents stop everything just to see and hear the band play and watch them maneuver and proudly measure their progress from week to week. Saturday, June 22, the band will march in the Art City Days celebration at Springville. Hie parade time is 10 a.m. and will feature 140 floats plus some ten bands. The Springville parade will be one of the largest and most colorful parades held in Utah this year. It will be Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. A full day of activity will follow. In the evening there will be a steak fry, three-acomedy in the center arena theatre, civic "Meet Me In St. Louis, presented by the' Springville Playhouse at 8 p.m., and a teen dance at Memorial Hall at 9 p.m. An old antique car show is scheduled for Saturday after-noonorth of the city park with a series of competitive events beginning at 1:30. Maybe she wants to put the bite on him for a meal? sets meetings for public in June Utahs Board of Big Game Control will be holding their anunal public meetings in various cities next week to hear the recommendations of the public before they meet in executive session to set the fall big game seasons. The Board is composed of five men: A sportsmans representative, wool growers repre- sentative, cattlemens representative, the U.S. Forest Service representing all federal lands, and the Division of .Fish and Game Director. Board members will hold the first meeting June 24, in the Fish and Game Building in Cedar City, then move to the American Legion Hall in Salina on June 25. They will meet June 26, in Price at the Carbon County Court House; June 27, in Salt Lake City at the Fish and Game office and conclude the public meetings in Logan on June 28, at the Cache Chamber of Commerce Building. Talks were given by many of the leading doctors and ministers of the state and Mrs. Barney Russell of Sacramento, Calif., who headed a panel discussion. Talks given weren on medical services, spirituality, recreation, pfiysical fitness, sociology, and other very informative and interesting topics.
