Show Eurekan's sister's Curriculum consultants vorh with district faculty members here Curriculum consultants, now working with Tintic District faculty members, are joining in efforts toward improving educational programs. This week LaMar Hendrickson o f the BYU Laboratory School returned to the district to answer questions and to help elementary and high school teachers of English. Dr. Ruel Allred also returned .to follow up on the individualized spelling program adopted in the elementary school. District faculty meetings, along with in- dividual school meetings, typically are held to upsearch for ways of upgrading the school programs. Some problems have occurred. When they are recognized and Former Mammoth resident dies Mrs. Emma Jane Simmons Fereday, 77, a former resident of Mammoth, died of . natural causes November 1, 1967, in a Nephi hospital She was bom August 3, 1890, in Payson, a daughter of Grant and Mary Allman Simmons. She married Roy Ferreday April 19, 1909, in Provo, later selemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 16, 1959. She was an active member y of the LDS Church Relief and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors include a son, Roy Dean, Salt Lake City; daughter, Mrs. Elden C. (Norma) Sherwood, Nephi; six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brothers , sister, Edwin R., of Spring City, Sanpete County; Blaine, Provo; George D., Salt Lake City; Harold, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Valentine Haverson, Price. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Nephi Second LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in Payson City Cemetery. She was born in Ishpenming, Michigan, in 1889, a daughter of Jack and Matilda Andrews Carla. She married James Bant in Eureka in 1903. He died in Glendale, Calif., and she married Jacob Naef. He died in Mrs. Leona Murray and jun- ior vanity cheer leaden, Pam Brady, Ramona McIntyre, Carla Dean and Kathy Berry, were in Payson on Saturday, purchasing material for their cheer leader costumes. She married John 1966. in OHare She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Pelkiiiton, and one son, Jimmy, both of California; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and several step children. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, on November 8, at the Church of Little Flowers. Burial was in Forest Lawn in Glendale. June, 1962. Mrs. Nettie Mulliner of Murray is spending a few days here with her daughter and Mr .and Mrs. Melvin Walker. son-in-la- w, Vera Arrigona Carter passed away in South Gate, California, October 18, 1967, after a long illness. She had made her home in South Gate for the past 35 years. She was bora in Mt Pleasant February 26, 1892, a daugh- ter of Brigham Lee and Maria Jessen Lee. Her mother died when she was a child; she was reared by her sister, Rinda Lee Andnerson, Eureka. She was married to William Arrigona in Eureka. He died during the flu epidemic on ruary LOWER than weir! 6, 1919. She married Oliver Wilman 1920. They made their home in Eurekr, living in the vicinity of the old Job Store on Leadville Row. From Eureka they moved to Salt Lake City and then to the Los Angeles area, finally settling in South Gate. Mr. Carter died in 1958. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Arrigona Carver of Semi Valley, Calif., and Donna Merle Roof of South Gate. Five grandchildren and four great grandchilrden survive. Funeral services were held on October 23, 1967, in the Chapel of Biby and Belyea Mortuary, South Gate. Bishop Jack Osborn, former resident of Eureka, officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hills Memorial Park, in Whittier, California. Her niece, Frances Anderson of Bountiful, Utah, attended her services.
