Show October 13, 1967 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Senior Citizen group Senior Citizens of Springville entertained eight of Tintics Senior Citizens last Wednesday d afternoon. They enjoyed a atafternoon and those tending from Tintic were Gertrude Hannifin, coordinator of the Senior Citizens, and Bessie Toone, Lily Erickson, Georgia Laird, Vola Nevers and Minnie Painter. The Senior Citizens group includes all those over 50 years of age. The center for Tintic is gradu ally taking shape and should be in working order in the near future. fun-fille- Superintendent at national meeting At the invitation of the state board of education, Superintendent Dale L. Nelson attended the national conference on rural education last week in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Utah was represented by four superintendents and three specialists from the state administration. The theme centered on small schools improvement programs during the four lays, October 1 through 4. President Dorothy Allinson presided. Business of Importance was disposed of and Jenny Lynne Taylor, Girls State representative, gave her report on her weeks stay at USU in Logan this summer. Her report was well written and gave a very good idea of the many things she learned at Girls State. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the members. She thanked the auxiliary members for their part in making the trip possible for her. At the conclusion of the business session 500 was enjoyed. Prizes were won by Mabel Snell, Helen Eataugh and Mrs. Allinson. Hostesses for the evening were Kathie Underwood and Virginia Underwood. They served tasty refreshments. Misses Joan and Ann Quigley, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. James Quigley were home over the weekend spending the time with their parents. Joan is employed in Salt Lake and Ann is attending Wesminister College. Duane Milne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Mil- - party games and Mikes mother served a delicious lunch complete with a beautiful birthday cake to the guests who were, Dena and Bradley Carpenter, Brian Laird, John Hannifin, Brent Wilde, Gay White, Carl and Chet Wall, Kevin and Jay Schow, Margaret Hannifin and Dug, Bart and Brent Wall. They were en route to Las Vegas for a weeks vacation. Payson Hospital. Friends of the family are wishing him continued improvement. The luncheon honored the president of St. Francis Altar Society and a special guest, Mrs. Victor Smith, president of the Diocesan Council.
