Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jasper-so-n of Goshen are announcing: the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jane and Rex P. Carlson, The young couple will be married on Saturday, July 2, and a reception will honor them that evening at the American Legion Hall in Goshen. The p respective groom is home on leave from the U.S. Air Force, and will return next week to Fort Bliss in Texas. He is a graduate of Tintic High School. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Living- ston returned home Monday evening, after spending four days in Orem, caring for the Sylvan Johnson children while their parents took a hort vacation. The Livingston j grandson, Scott Livingston, spent a week here with his grandparents, and accompanied them to Orem when they went to care for the Johnson children. Mrs. Charles Milliman and two boys of Springfield, Ore gon, left for their home on Tuesday, after spending a vacation here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sandstrom. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sandstrom and family of Orem joined the group and Mrs. Sandstrom hosted a birthday dinner for her husband. It was a happy family gathering and much enjoyed by all attending, and especially for Mr. Sand-strom. Marene Bird returned home last week after spending a Bird. The return trip was made by jet plane, which was a thrill for the young lady. She was met at the Salt Lake Airport by her mother, Mrs. Elna Bird. and Mrs. Walter Conrad of Farmington, New Mexico. During their stay here they were joined by another sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Guests last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Chatwin was a nephew and his family, Mr. and Mrs. William Houghton, of South Dakota. Mr. Houghton is stationed with the Army Air Force at the Grand Forks Air Base. He is a former resident of Eureka. hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Blight, honored the guests, during their stay in Eureka. two-we- ek vacation in Bell Garden, Calif., with her 'brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Blight were her sister and family, Mr. Bryson Mr. and Mrs. Charles V. Harris of Caldwell, Idaho, left on Tuesday for their home, after spending the past week here with her sister, Mrs. Clare Larsen. Mrs. Dave Garbett, Sr., and two of her grandchildren, Shir-len- e and Gena of Delta, are spending the week in Moab with Mrs. Garbetts daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sorensen. Miss Frankie Bridgeman left last week, for the first lap of a trip that will eventually take her to Israel, where she will join her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. Andrus Nelson of Moroni, spent Tuesday here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Livingston. Mrs. Charlott Zelinkov and two children of Salt Lake were in town over the weekend spending the time with her aunt. Mrs. Maud Hilsdale and other relatives. Mrs. Zelinkov will be remembered as the former Charlotte Johnson. The Stanley Ryan and Lee Ryan families left last week for Payson, where they will make their home. Lee will continue to teach in the Tintic High School as coach and shop instructor. Their friends are wishing them well in their new homes. Father Strancar spent a few days here this past week. He is now stationed in Etiwanda, Calif., and he came to Utah to officiate at a wedding for a young couple in Murray. Annetta and Zane Berry, the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. .Glade Berry of Cedar Fort, are spending the week at the home of their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Roland Gillespie. Relatives here last week for the funeral of Mrs. LaRue K. Jex Fox, were her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Jex, her brothers and their wives, Lewis, Arthur and Gene, all of Spanish Fork; and her husband's sisters, Mrs. Frances Schauerhamer, Mrs. Vera DeVault, Salt Lake; Mrs. Lily Slarez of Napa; and Mrs. Doris Miller of Vernal. Mrs. Della Allinson returned to Eureka on Sunday, after spending the past two months in Globe, Arizona, with her son and family, the Ben Allinsons. Mr. Allinson and his two daughters, Linda and Carol, accompanied Mrs. Allinson to Eureka, and visited here for a few days before returning to William Bridgeman, who have been in that area for the past several months.
