Some important government regulations on labeling of wool merchandise that will affect purchasers of these fabrics have just gone into effect. An amendment to the Wool Labeling Act regulations states that the Imported Fabric label will no longer be displayed on wool merchandise shown in the United States. The Federal Trade Commission now requires all imported fabric labels to show the country of origin. It has been determined that the fabric label is more important to most shoppers than any other information regarding the garment, according to a national trade association, Woolens and Worsteds of America. A recent survey of some 2,000 women indicated that some 1,973 stated the fabric label strongly influenced them in their apparel purchasing. Woolens and Worsteds of America is conducting a national educational campaign themed: The American Way With Wool Woven ih the U.S.A. to emphasize the new regulations and to set forth the fact that American woolens are products of superior standards of research and engineering and world famous craftsmanship especially created for the American way of living. 20.00 Thurday, January 13 Friday, January 14 8.00 5.00 Saturday, January 15 SPORTSWEAR Values to $30.00 Thursday, January 13 20.00 Friday, January 14 Saturday, January 15 15.00 12.00 STRETCH PANTS Values to $15 Thursday, 8.00 The teacher was giving a lecture on agriculture, and as part of it, tried to explain how birds and insects damage crops.
