Tintic High School basketball team travelled to Ogden on Dec. 29, to play St. Josephs, and came out on the losing end of the game by a six point margin. All the students returning to school after the holidays seem to have had a real enjoyable Christmas, but all were wishing for a longer vacation. The seniors started the new year out right by having a sleighing party (on tubes, no less) at the Red Dump near Silver City, Manday evening. From the sounds of laughter coming from those participating, it left no doubt that all were having a ball. Thursday night, Tintic High basketball team played North Sevier High School. The chorus class is beginning to work on the songs for the festivals coming up in the near future. The debate class has started on their debates, entitld Resolves That the Federal Government should adopt a program of compulsory arbitration in labor management disputes in basic industry. The class will study every phase of this subject and will travel to College of Eastern Utah, January 25, to debate with other schools throughout the state. We wish them luck in their debating. This money makes the Halloween and Christmas party possible and is greatly appreciated by the whole The Eureka Ladies of Elks held a regular meeting Tuesday evening, with vice president, Alice Peart, presiding. The ladies played bridge after the business session and Mrs. Faye Wall and Mrs. Toni Carlson won prizes. The club was the hostess for the evening. Mr., Mrs. Robert entertains group Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watt entertained a large group of their friends at a New Years Eve party at their home on Friday evening. A delicious buffet dinner was served followed by an evening of visiting. Dora Randle entertains here Mrs. Dora Randle entertained at a birthday luncheon on Thursday, honoring Mrs. Irma Gourley and Mrs. Elaine Kirk, Dividend. After a delicious lunch the ladies spent the afternoon visiting. Those present were Mrs. Kirk, Mrs. Gourley, Mrs. Alliene Farren, Mrs. Alice Peart, Mrs. Jean Giles and Mrs. Mary Randle. Carrie Eastwood, daughter of Mr .and Mrs. William East-woo- d suffered a broken toe on Sunday in a sleigh riding accident near her home. Miss Candace Ellisons of Portland, Oregon spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bernini. She is a student at the University of Utah. David Bernini returned to Salt Lake City on Tuesday, where he will continue his studies at the University of Utah. He spent the Christmas holidays at Eureka with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bernini. Lucy Johnson Richard Orgill and family at Livermore, Calif.; and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Attenson and family at Los Angeles. While in California, they also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Boyns at San Diego. Nampa, Calif, spent Christmas at Eureka visiting at the Jack Coffey home. They left for their home on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bate and family of Dugway, and Mrs. Norma Bate, San Jose, Calif., spent Sunday visit ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vem Nevers. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bate and family were visitors at the Nevers home on last Thursday. a and son, Charlie, spent New Year's at the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Newman of Dugway and Dr. and Mrs. Maynard Marshall of Wisconsin were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of Mrs. Virgie Broderick at Eureka. Also visiting with her was Mr. and Mrs. Dean Broderick and children of Orem. Debbie Kay, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Max Kay, Salt Lake City, spent part of last week visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird. Mr. and Mrs. William Roberts, former residents now living at Keetly, Utah, spent the weekend at Eureka visiting with friends and attending the Elks New Years party. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Nelson spent the weekend at Eureka visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Cblovich spent the weekend at Las Vegas, Nevada. party.
