Show September 3, 1963 "500 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Mr. and Mrs. Ray Club Members of the "500" Club drove to Provo last Wednesday evening, where they attended a movie. After the movie they returned home and had refreshments at a local cafe. Mrs. Fred Laird was celebrat- ing her birthday anniversary and she was presented with a gift and a beautiful cake. Mrs. Don Hopes and Mrs. Fred Laird were hostesses for the evening. Others attending were Mrs. Max Berry, Mrs. Dick Laird, Mrs. William East-woo- d, Mrs. Bob Robinson, Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. Joe Wahl-ber- g and Mrs. Kay Jolley. Tintic. OES Members of the Tintic Chapter, No. 18, OES, celebrated at the annual Robert Morris Day picnic last Sunday at Salem Park. A planned pot luck dinner was served to members and their families, numbering about 38. Arrangements for the picnic were made by Lavon Ryan, committee chairman. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cutler and four boys returned to their home in Los Altos Hills, Calif., last week. Mrs. Cutler and boys visited here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Pett for a month, while Mr. Cutler made business trips to Colorado and California and elsewhere. While here, Mrs. Cutler and boys and the Reed Petts made trips to the Sand Dunes, out to Fairfield, Nephi and Sandy. In Sandy they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hopes and family. Mr. Cutler joined his family early last week and visited here at the Pett home for a few days before returning to California with his family. Mrs. Cutler is Badcrts-che- r and boys were at Fish Lake over the weekend. Newman and two boys, IScott and Kirk of Bakersfield, Calif., left Tuesday for their home. They have been visiting here at the Leonard Ryan home for the past several days. Mrs. Newman will remain here to be with her mother, who is confined to the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake. Maury Mrs. Wilma Webber returned home on Friday from a two-wee- k vacation trip to Provo and Orem. She visited with her sister, Miss Freida Ohlson in Provo, and spent some time in Orem with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Webber. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Giles and family returned home last week from a vacation trip to Nevada. They visited in Reno with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. the former Dorothy Pett. Other recent guests at the Pett home was another daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hopes of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. George Forsey of Orem, spent last Sunday evening here with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee. Charles McGee and visited friends in Tonopah and made a trip to Virginia City which was much enjoyed. spent the Vernal visiting Colovich Barry in with friends. weekend Capt. and Mrs. Ray Colovich Dage and three children of Rome, New York, and her mother, Mrs. Mary Stephens of Provo; and Mr. Colovich's mother, Mrs. ISarah Colovich of Salt Lake, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Ted Colovich. Capt. Colovich has spent the last two months in Thailand and Okinawa. He is a member of the U. S. Air Force and has been stationed in New York for the past few years. They returned to New York during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Colovich this week for Tooele, where Mrs. Colovich will teach in the Tooele schools. Mr. Colovich is employed at Tooele Army Depot. They have spent left the summer months here. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee were in Salt Lake on Monday, where they combined business and pleasure. While in the city they visited with their son and family, the Rex Lees at Bountiful, and with Max and family in Salt Lake. Ted Colovich returned home last Friday after spending days in the Payson Hospital, where he received medical treatment for arthritis. Continued improvement is being wished by his many 'friends. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Pett were in Sandy last Wednesday, where they joined in the birthday celebration for their granddaughter, Marion Elaine Hopes, who was celebrating her 13 th birthday anniversary. Marion Elaine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hopes. Roger and Frankie Bridge-mawho have spent the past several days here at the Harold Spencer home, left Sunday for their home in Las Vegas. They are son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bridge-maformer residents of Eureka. n, n, Mrs. Helen Jackson returned home Tuesday evening, after spending the weekend in Salt Lake with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wheelock. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fennell and Mart Jr., were in Salt Lake on Sunday spending the day with their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Lindsay. son-in-la- w, Jo Paquin Movie Crossword for Teenage Puzzlers Atkinson family holds reunion The Ray Atkinson family celebrated at a family reunion last Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jones. A pot luck dinner was served and horse riding was en- joyed, and the young people were kept busy with pony rides and had fun riding in the carts. Sixty members of the family attended the reunion which was pronounced a decided success. Mrs. Jones brother, Eldon Atkinson, came from Idaho to attend the family get together. They hadnt seen one another for over ten years and there was much to tell of the intervening years. Mrs. Carol Larsen of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Thomas Peck of Lehi. spent Wednesday here with Mrs. Larsen's mother, Mrs. Mildred Garity. Father Strancar was in Salt Lake on Tuesday, attending a dinner for Bishop Joseph Federal of the Salt Lake Diocese. Bishop Federal will leave Saturday for Rome, to attend the Ecumenical Council meetings. There were 70 priests present i at the dinner. j Darrell Arrigona of Los Angeles and his sister, Mrs. Charles S. White of Ogden, were In town for a short visit on Friday. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Coffey and Mrs. Myrtle Theriault. They a reformer residents of Eureka, and Mrs. Smith will be remembered as Florence Arrigona. They were enroute to Las Vegas, where they will visit with relatives. Mr. Arrigona will travel on to Los Angeles, after completing his visit in Las Vc-ga- s. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larsen of Salt Lake were in town on Wednesday, spending the day with the Brannan Hannifin family.
