Show March 5, 1965 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Page Four Catholic Women Mrs. James Muth, Mrs. Joseph Bernini and Mrs. Floyd Evans were in Provo Monday evening attending a meeting of the Central District Council of Catholic Women. A dinner at a local cafe preceded the meeting Father Ernest Wilson was principal speaker and a talk was also given by the diocesan president, Mrs. John Hedder-man. Eastern Star Worthy Matron Mabel Butler conducted the Eastern Star meeting Monday evening assisted by Worthy Patron Leslie Randle. Routine business was and final plans were made for the grand visitation on March 15. Mrs. Maude Blight and Mrs. Mary Newman were appointed to make arrangements for refreshments to be served at the close of the chapter work on March 15. Mrs. Franks was a special guest of the evening. the way you show up at the showdown that counts. Its LDS Church Wm. Thompson conducted the Sunday evening services at the Eureka LDS Ward. Conducting the music were Arlene Milne at the organ, and Barbara Bartschi, chorister. The invocation was given by Don Franks. Ned Allinson, Jr., was sustained as a Deacon in the Aar-oni- c Priesthood, and Florence Garbett was released as 2nd Counselor and sustained as 1st Counselor in the Primary, and Joan Morris was released as a teacher in the Primary and sustained as 2nd Counselor. Speakers for the evening were Lee Bird, Jan Phillips, Elma Baswell and Elden Lovell. The benediction was given by John Boss. After 500 Mrs. Gerald Aitken entertained the 500 Club at her home Thursday afternoon. Luncheon was served at 1 p.m. and cards were enjoyed during the afternoon. Attending were Mrs. Dean Rose, Mrs. Melvin Hansen, Mrs. Allen Milne, Mrs. Ed Webb, Mrs. Brennan Hannifin, Mrs. Oscar Erickson, Mrs. Harold Sorensen and a special guest, Mrs. Gerald Peterson. Prizes were won by Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Hansen, Mrs. Milne and Mrs. Webb. Bridge Club The 500 Club drove to Wednesday where they were entertained at the home of Mrs. Don Hopes. Attending were Donna Laird, Carol Jolley, Thelda Eastwood, Ann Garbett, Afton Berry, Betty Robinson, and a special guest, Colleen EI-ber- ta Fields. Prizes were won by Mrs. Laird, Mrs. Fields and Mrs. Jolley, At the close of the evening Mrs. Hopes served delicious refreshments. Ladies of Elks Ldaies of Elks met in regular session Tuesday evening in the clubrooms. Preceding the regular meeting a pot luck dinner Mrs. Jerald Drussel enter- tained the Bridge Club Wednes- day evening at a local cafe. Attending were Mrs. Ted Johnson, Mrs. James Muth, Mrs. Ray Badertscher, Mrs. Joseph Bernini, Mrs. Darell Franks, Mrs. Floyd Evans and Mrs. Curtis Butler. Prizes were won by Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Muth and Mrs. Badertscher. At the conclusion of the card playing the guests enjoyed a tasty lunch.'
