Show December 25, 1964 Eastern Star THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER , Worthy Matron, Mabel Butler, presided at the meeting of Eastern Star, Chapter 18, held last Monday evening. Assist-iin- g was Worthy Patron, Leslie Randle. Mrs. Pansy Treloar was installed as chapter organist, Alice Johnson and Leslie Randle were the installing officers and they were assisted by Ethel Brenton, Virginia Randle and Mabel Butler. At the conclusion of the iness session, a Christmas party was held. A program, with Vola Nevers and Patricia Brady in charge, was built around the messages on the Christmas cards. It was very effective and entertaining. The members sang Christmas carols and exchanged gifts. A beautiful Christmas tree added a festive note to the evening. Delicious refreshments were served and pine cones, holly and candles made an attractive center piece for the dining table. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roach and Mrs. Janet Anderson of Payson were on the refreshment committee. Afternoon 500 Mrs. Dean Rose and Mrs. Gerald Aitken were for the annual Christmas party last Thursday afternoon for the 500 Club, held at the home of.Mrs. Dean Rose in Mammoth. A delicious dinner was served at 1:00 p.m. and a beautiful centerpiece urns fashioned of holly, Christmas boughs and candles. A gaily decorated Christmas tree added much to the spirit of the afternoon, and the members exchanged gifts. Cards were enjoyed during the afternoon. Prizes were won by Mrs. William Paxman, Mrs. Melvin Hansen, Mrs. Rhoda Bell, Mrs. Brennan Hannifin. Others attending were Mrs. EM Webb, Mrs. Harold Sorensen, Mrs. Oscar Erickson and the hostesses. ses Milners' Auxiliary Miners Union Auxiliary held the annual Christmas party last Wednesday eveniing in the Miners Union Hall, with President LaRue Fox conducting. After the short business meeting a delicious banquet was served, with the members supplying the food. A seasonal centerpiece added to the Tule spirit, and members exchanged gifts. Cards were dispensed with and in the drawing for the prizes, Clara Garbett, Georgia Laird, Ellen Eataugh and Mildred drew the winning cards. Entre Nous Mrs. Lawrence James was hostess to the Ehitre Nous literary Club last Wednesday when the annual evening, Christmas party was held. 'Table and house decorations were in colorful blue and silver, and a lovely Christmas tree also trimmed in silver and blue, further carried out the theme of the eveniing. Mrs. James read a Christmas story, and the holiday spirit was further, developed through recordings of beautiful singing by the lovely voice of the hostess. A buffet lunch was served to those attending who were Mrs. V. L. Anderson, Mrs. Alex Blight, Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mrs. Earlean Gear, Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mrs. James Muth, Mrs. Steele McIntyre, Mrs. . Leslie Randle, Mrs. Leonard Ryan, Mrs. Steve Milne, and Mrs. Myrtle Theriault. Members exchanged gifts, and it was a most delightful evening for all attending. . After a short business meeting, the annual Christmas party was held.
