Show July 3, Page Three THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER 1964 Bridge Club Mrs. Del Hales entertained the members of the Bridge Miss Charlotte Ann Sanderson is wed to Arnold Carlson here A' pretty home wedding last Friday evening united in marriage Miss Chralotte Ann San- derson, daughter of Ellis Sanderson of Moab, and Arnold (Amie) Carlson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Carlson of Eureka. The ceremony was performed at 6:30 p.m. at the home of the grooms parents. President Patton of the Santaquin-Tinti- c LDS Stake, officiated at the nuptials. For her wedding, the attractive bride chose a white Chantilly lace ballerina gown, and carried a bouquet of burnt orange roses and white carnations. Her only attendant, Mrs. Eugene Laird, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, and she wore a ballerina gown of light blue chiffon. Her corsage was orange colored carnations. Rex Carlson, brother of the groom, was best man. After the ceremony, parents of the groom honored the newlyweds at a buffet supper at the Carlson home. Attending were the bridal party, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stewart, Gilbert Sanderson, grandparents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Oris Sanderson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Gilson, Mr. and Mrs. William Eastwood, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Laird, and Mr. and Mrs. Vance Wildes. The groom is a graduate of Untie High School and the bride attended Tintic High School and this past year attended school in Moab. After a honeymoon trip to Butte, Mont., they will make a home in Eureka. Club Thursday evening at a local cafe. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ted Johnson, Mrs. Frank Peart, Mrs. Dee Clement and Mrs. Roy Gourley. After cards a tasty lunch was served to those named and to Mrs. Alliene Farren, and special guests, Mrs. Joseph Bernini and Mrs. Darrell Franks. her fiance, Craig Lindsay of Salt Miss Eileen Fennell and Lake, spent the weekend here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fennell. Birthday party honors son Wedding reception honors new Mr. and Mrs. Terry L. Nelson The Elks Club was the setting Saturday, June 20, for the wedding of Miss Chyrle Thomas and Terry L. Nelson. Bishop Denton Bartschi of the Eureka LDS Ward officiated at the nutials, which were performed at 6 p.m. Preceding the ceremony Bruce Thomas, brother of the bride, sang two solos, Eternally" and "If Ever I Would Leave You." Mrs. Mabel Butler was the accompanist for the numbers. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Thomas and the groom is a son of Mrs. Dorothy Nelson of Payson, and the late Eldon Nelson. The attractive bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a wedding dress of peau de sole, which featured a sab-rineckline of scalloped alen-co- n lace and traditional long sleeves, trimmed with tiny self covered buttons. The skirt was fashioned with a straight front panel, with a design of Alencon lace. A chapel train completed the skirt detail. Her bridal veil was secured with a small hat of peau de sole, trimmed with pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of wihte feathered carnations centered with a large orchid. Her attendants, &Irs. Glen Hafen, matron of honor, Miss Sharon McQuivey, maid of honor, Mrs. Jerry Allerton and Miss Shanna Ryan, wore gowns of apricot crystalene and carried nosegays of talisman roses and feathered carnations, ringed with apricot satin ribbons. Flower girls were Wendy Nelson, sister of the groom, and Leslie Calkins. Best man was Jim Carlson, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Kent and Ronald Nelson, na groom, and Bruce Thomas, brother of the bride. Mother of the bride chose a jacket dress of light green crystalene, with matching accessories, and mother of the groom selected a blue and white stripe jersey gown with blue accessories. Both, wore orchid corsages. Preceding the nuptials, the parents of the bride hosted a dinner for the bridal party, family members and few close friends. The dinner was served brothers of the at . 3:00 p.m. An evening reception honored the young couple in the club rooms. They greeted guests before a background of a lighted archway, hung with apricot and white flowers. The reception carried out the wedding theme of apricot and white. A three-tiere- d wedding cake, trimmed with apricot rosettes, centered a small table with a nylon tulle skirt Colored lights under the table gave an apricot hue to the tulle. Small serving tables centered with crystal bowls set in nylon tulle, held small lighted candles and green leaves. Young girls serving at the reception were Janet Brady, Pam McIntyre, Kim Pannell, Launa Allinson and Carol Ann Stapley. Mrs. Ronald Nelson was in charge of the guest book, and Judy Cook and Debbie Carlson took care of the gifts and the gift list Dancing followed the reception. The newlyweds left Saturday evening for a short honeymoon and will make their home in Eureka for the summertime. They will return to Salt Lake City in the fall when the groom Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelson celebrated their son, Lees birthday last Saturday by making a trip to Lagoon. Family members attending were Lees sisters, Teresa and Sherry, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Nelson and their daughter Joannie, and Mrs. Dorothy Nelson and daughter, Wendy. A picnic lunch was enjoyed, and the young folks had fun on the concessions and fun makers during the day. Lee decided that his sixth birthday anniversary was just about right, and voted for another such celebration on his next birthday. will continue his studies at the University of Utah. A dinner was local cafe on Friday given at a evening, hosted by the mother of the groom, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, for the bridal party and family members.
