He weighed in at 8 pounds, 13 ozs., and will be named John Buxton. He has a five year old brother, Timothy, Jr., and a three year old sister, Margaret Ann, who are really pleased over the new addition to the family circle. Happy grandparents are Mr.' and Mrs. Brennan Hannifin of Eureka and Mr and Mrs. Milton Buxton of Goshen Methodist Church Services Frank Bowman of Tboele, will have charge of the service at the Methodist Church on Sunday, January 19, at the 11 oclock service. Al-lie-ne er Legion Auxiliary The American Legion Auxiliary met in regular session on Monday evening of this week at the Memorial Building. President Margaret Hyde presided. After the regular business of the meeting was concluded, initiation ceremonies for 6 new members was conducted. Mn. lone Ryan, past president, was in charge of the ceremonies, and she was assisted by other officers, Mrs. Hyde, LaRue Fox, Cleo Judge, Myrtle Pett After the ceremonies were completed, the members enjoyed Bingo and "500." The Bingo was won by Mildred Davis and the "500 by Ruth Sorensen, and the raffle by June Fields. Hostesses for the meeting were Cleo Judge and Ruth Potts, who served delicious refreshments. A reception followed the ceremony. The wedding party stood before a double archway trimmed in white net and arrangements of holly, red carnations, ferns and bells. Large ferns tied with red ribbon were used on either side of the archway. The serving area was set apart by four white lantern posts tied with holly and red ribbon. The serving tables were centered with clear crystal bowls with a red carnation in the center of the bowl. The members celebrated Mrs. Wanda Sanderson's birthday, by presenting her with a beautiful cake. CARD OF THANKS I wish to extend my sincere thanks to all those who sent cards, letters and to all those who called on me during my recent stay in the hospital, and since I returned to Eureka. They were much appreciated by me. George Chlulus Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson and son, Scott of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird, and with the Joseph Walker, Sr., family. Miss Marjorie Randle and a school friend, Shirrel Hitt, spent the weekend here with Marjories parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Randle. The young ladies are students at the Utah State University in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Reed ' Pett were in Sandy last Saturday, getting acquainted with the new granddaughter at the Marion Hopes home. Mrs. David Johnson of Las Vegas and Mrs. Margaret Shel- don of Fort Riley, Kansas were in town over the weekend. They were called here by the death of Rulon Bradford. Mrs. Hattie Jones, and her daughter, Mrs. Wilma Young, Kay Corina, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell of Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. William Laird of Payson; were in Eureka on Saturday attending the funeral services for Rulon Bradford. P. Williams, also of Salt Lake, City. The Anderson family are former residents of Eureka. 'Hie bride-elec- ts mother will be remembered as the former Wanda Hillman. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hillman of Eureka. Mr. Anderson was employed at the North Lily Mining Company during his residence here. Miss Anderson has attended the L.D.S. Business College and is now employed as a secretary at Fort Douglas. The prospective groom has attended the University of Utah and has filled a two and one-ha-lf year LDS mission in Argentina. The young people are planning a wedding on February 20 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. . New In Town?
