Show CLUB yREPORTs Entre Nous The Entre Nous Literary Club held the annual Christmas party last Wednesday evening at Lucilles Lounge. Following the dinner, games were enjoyed, and the members exchanged gifts. Attending were Agnes Anderson, Winona Thomas, Lavon Ryan, Marion Nash, Earlean Gear, Myrtle Theriault, Jackie Banghart, Maude McIntyre, Virginia Randle, Ellen Muth, Mabel Butler and Laura Modern Airs. Club Modern Mrs. Club celebrated at the annual Christmas party last Thursday evening at Gigs Cafe. The dining table was decorated in the Christmas colors, and members exchanged gifts. Before going to the cafe the members enjoyed a social hour at the home of Mrs. Frank McCabe, and at the conclusion of the dinner they returned to the McCabe home, where several games of Bridge were played. High score was won by Mrs. Ted Johnson, the cut by Mrs. Jerald Durssell, and consolation by Mrs. Floyd Evans and Mrs. Curtis Butler. Others attending were Mrs. Joseph Bernini, Mrs. Darrell Franks, Mrs. James Muth and Mrs Ray Badertscher. Bridge Club The Bridge Club cation here. She is a student at the Utah State University met last in Logan. Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Ned Allinson when they celebrated at their annual Christmas party. The rooms were decorated in the Christmas colors, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree added to the gayety of the pleasant evening. A clever centerpiece fashioned of red candles in a Christmas setting added interest to the prettily decorated table. Members exchanged gifts, and cards were enjoyed later in die evening. Mrs. Oris Sanderson won the high score, Mrs. Henry Wall the cut, and Mrs. Heber Cushing, the raffle prize. Others attending were Mrs. Martin Fennell, Mrs. Jerald Drussell, Mrs. Tom Judge and Mrs. Leland Sanderson. The Juab County Hospital employees and the hospital board members enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner December 20, at the Snak Shak in NephL Burtis Jameson, chairman of the board, reports that there were 35 personnel in attendance at the nicely arranged dinner. Miss Suzanne Wittmeyer, who is attending Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, is now spending the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wittmeyer. Miss Marjorie Randle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Randle, is spending the holiday va Barry Colovich, who is at- tending Snow College in Ephraim, is spending the Christmas holidays here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Colovich. Mrs. Stella Shea left last week for Hollywood, Calif., where she will visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunn for the winter months. Miss Eileen Spencer and Miss Noel I tch, who are attending the Seattle University in Seattle, Washington, are spending the holiday vacation here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Spencer and Mr. and' Mrs. Cecil Fitch, Jr. At Kennecotts Bingham Canyon mine, men and machines are working on the largest industrial expansion program in Utah's history to increase copper production at the Utah Copper Division. One phase of the program is pictured here. Rail lines are being removed from a mine level as part of the project to substitute trucks for trains in hauling overburden from the mine to nearby dumps. When the rails are removed road graders will smooth the way for the new, big trucks at Kennecott. More than 50 miles of roads will be built, measuring 50 to 125 feet in width, to complete this phase. Skilled men, with their eyes on tomorrow, are on the job throughout Kennecott's operations. In addition to those at the mine, others are preparing for the expansion of the precipitation plant, the construction of a new crushing and grinding plant at the concentrators and the modernization of the converter aisle at the smelter. Employees associated with the dollar expansion program are working not only for Kennecott, but for Utah as welL They are part of a long range plan to keep Kennecotts copper production a sound, healthy business.
