Roger Banghart will conduct. and three children of Chrystal Bay, Nevada, were in town last week visiting with friends. plans yule party The American Legion Auxiliary held a regular meeting Monday at the Memorial Building. President Margaret Hyde presided. t, A new member, Leah was welcomed into the organization. After the routine business had been concluded, plans were made for the Christmas party, to be held Monday, Dec. 9. A turkey dinner will be served, and members will exchange gifts. All members are asked to attend, as a pleasant evening is in store for all those attending. The members voted to send a gift of money to the Gift Shop at the Veterans Hospital, for a veteran to purchase Christmas gifts for a loved one. One of the projects for the holiday season is to completely outfit a forgotten veteran. This is a project carried on by the auxiliary for the past few years, and is certainly a commendable one. At the conclusion of the business session, a social hour was enjoyed, with Bingo and 500 furnishing the entertainment. The Bingo was won by lone Ryan and Virginia Bradford won the 500 prize, and the raffle by Mildred Davis. DUP Club talk Columbia Rebekah Columbia Rebekah Lodge No. 2, met in regular session on Thursday evening of last week. Vice Grand Colleen McNulty presided at the meeting. A routine business session was disposed of and plans made for future activities. Cards were dispensed with, and prizes were drawn for, with Alliene Farren and Anna Franks drawing the winning cards. Tasty refreshments were served by the hostess for the evening, Mrs. Colleen McNulty. Miner's Auxiliary Miners Union Auxiliary met last Wednesday evening in the Miner's Union Hall, with President Ellen Eataugh conducting. After the regular business of the evening had been taken care of, Bingo was enjoyed. Prizes were won by Mrs. Alliene Farren, Mrs. lone Ryan and Mrs. Elva Webb. Hostesses for the meeting were Mildred Davis and Virginia Bradford. They served a tasty lunch. Honors husband Mrs. Jerald Carlson entertained at a family dinner on Sunday, honoring her husband on his birthday anniversary. Attending the nicely planned dinner were Mr. and Mrs. William Eastwood and family; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Laird and family; and Arnie and Rex Carlson. Wendy Nelson, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Nelson of Pay-so- n, spent the weekend here with her grandmother, Mrs. Florence Gillespie. Mrs. Nelson came to Eureka on Sunday and her daughter returned home with her. Another guest on Sunday and Monday at the Gillespies was Bob Gillespie of Salt Lake City. meeting held The Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Wednesday afternoon in the Memorial Building, with Captain Nellie Laird in charge. Two new members joined the organization, Celes-ti- a and Ellen Eataugh, who were welcomed by Mrs. Laird. A short business session was held, and the group adjourned early in order that they might attend the W. S. C. S. Bazaar. and Mrs. Jim Jensen Salt Lake City, are the proud parents of a baby daughter, bom Nov. 2nd in Mr. of the Holy Cross Hospital. The very welcome little daughter checked in at 6 pounds, 1 oz., and will be named Teresa Lynn. She has a big sister, 3 year-ol- d Stephanie, who is over thrilled the new addition to the family circle. Mother is the former Ann Roberts, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Roberts of Eureka, who are more than willing to spread the good news. Other happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen of Springville. Firemen feted in Santaquin Utah-Jua- b . Fire Department held a regular Association meeting in Santaquin on Saturday evening. The host department served a delicious lunch, and entertainment was presented. Those from Mammoth attending were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. James Toone, Richard Erickson and Kathy Allman. 31 r. and Mrs. Leslie Randle were in Nephi on Sunday visiting with his mother, Mrs. Ada Randle.
