Lawrence Clay-so- n was sustained bishop with Hyrum E. Bradley, first counselor and Gordon Heelis, second counselor. Bishop Clayson was a member of Santaquin-Tinti- c Stake presidency for many years and was still serving in that capacity. Mr. Bradley was serving as assistant stake clerk and Mr. Heelis was president of the stake high priest quarum. The ward clerks will be announced in the near future. A special meeting has been called for May 2 at the stake center at 6:45 p.m. to he held an hour prior to the regular stake presidency meeting. All bishops, stake presidency, members of the high council, stake and ward superintendencies of the MIAs and all stake and ward Primary presidencies are urged to be there. Lou Roberts, Church coordinator and a member of Region 12 of Church Scouting will be in attendance to give helpful instruction. He has scheduled another meeting at 8 p.m. with Nebo Stake leaders and all in our stake who are supposed to be in attendance are urged to be there promptly at 6:45. The annual Brigham Young University Leadership Week will be held this year June 10 to 14 and will have a new title. It has been changed from Leadership Week to Education Week made effective last December by BYU board of trustees. The dates are being an- nounced this early to give ple a peo- chance to arrange their vacation times to make it possible for them to attend. Those planning to attend are urged to register as early as possible. More details later regarding Education Week. The annual Scouting Fellow, ship Banquet of the Utah National Parks Council was held April 26 at the East Provo Stake Center. We are happy to announce that our Eureka Quartet Festival winners were the only singing talent asked to perform. The quartet mem bers are Bruce Thomas, Larry Ewell, Dennis Bates and Mlck-ey- y Wilde. A special Senior Aaronlc Priesthood Social Hour is being planned for Saturday evening at the stake center at 8 p.m. All senior Aaronic priest-hoo- d members, their wives and all bishoprics and wives and all ward committees and stake committees of the Aaronlc Priesthood are urged to be in attendance. Light refreshments will be served. Elroy Murdock will act as master of ceremonies. The ward Relief Society will held their annual Mothers Day Sale Saturday, May 11, commencing at 3 p.m. Gift specials to give to mothers will be there for the youngsters to select. President Thora Ross and her counselors, Kaye Madsen and Mary Roberts, are in charge of the activity. The Second Ward held their Ward Conference last Sunday. Other ward Relief Society conferences are to be held as follows: Elberta, April 28; Goshen, May 13; Eureka, May 26. Relief Society board members will be represented at each of these conferences. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Blight, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mrs. Myrtle Theriault, Mrs. Vola Nevers, Ethel Brenton, Mrs. Rowena Hanks, Mrs. Lavon Ryan and Mrs. Elsie Nilson, members of Tintic Chapter, No. 18, O. E. S., made a trip to Provo Tuesday evening where they attended the Grand Visitation of the Grand Officers of Utah to Valley Chap- ter No. 3. Mrs. Rolsalie Dunn and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Boswell of Nephi, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Coffey. Mr. Coffey has been on the sick list for the past two 'weeks and they came to Eureka to visit with him. Mrs. Myrtle Theriault and Mrs. Lynn Brady and two daughters, Janet and Pam, were in Provo Tuesday afternoon, where they combined business and pleasure.
