Show December 14, 1962 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Provo Elks visit Tintic Lodge 7 Clubs tell events Lady Elks Ladies of Elks ushered in the Christmas season Saturday night, when they celebrated their annual Christmas Party, with the Elks and their wives as guests of the evening. A cocktail hour was enjoyed from 9 to 10:00 p.m., followed by .dancing. A buffet supper was served at 1 am. The decorations were clever end eye catching. A center-piec- e arrangement, consisting of a Potpourri tree, fashioned of gold leaves and red Christmas bells, adde interest to the over-a- ll decor. Favors were miniature Santa Clauses and a large Santa Claus greeted the guests as they entered the dining room. A large fire place, decorated in the Christmas theme was placed in the Club lounge and a large, beautiful decorated Christmas tree, graced the dining area. Mrs. Tom Judge and Mrs. Harry Wall were in charge of the decorations. All the members worked on the menu committee, and form all reports it was a very enjoyable party. Bridge Club Mrs. Marton Fennell was hostess to the Bridge Club last Thursday evening. High score was won by Mrs. Jerald Drussel, the all-cby Mrs. Elmo Boswell, and the raffle by Mrs. Heber Cushing. At the closing of the card game, Mrs. Fennell served a tasty lunch to those mentioned and to Mrs. Ned Allison, Mrs. Oris Sandersoh, Mrs. Leland Sanderson, Mrs. Henry Wall and Mrs. Thomas Judge. Mrs. Boswell will be hostess for the Christmas Party which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20. There will be an exchange of gifts among members. ut Mammoth Davis presided at the meeting. After disposing of the business session, plans were made for the Christmas Banquet to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19. A social hour was enjoyed with Bingo and 500 furnish- ing the entertainment. Prize winners were Alice Peart, Virginia Bradford, and Elva Webb. Mrs. lone Ryan, hostess for the evening served tasty refreshments. ft ' Womens Society The Womens Society of Christain Service of the Methodist Church met last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Mabel Butler, with President LaVon Ryan presiding at the business meeting. Mrs. Virginia Badertscher gave a Christmas lesson And the Angels Will Sing and was assisted by Vola Nevers, Jackie Banhart, Francis Ewell, Mabel Buttler, and Patricia Bra-dy. Plans were discussed for the Christmas party to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 18. Delicious refreshments were served to those named and to r, Myrtle Theriault, Pansy Annie Smith, Elsie Virginia Randle and Athene Farren. Group singing of Christmas Carols was enjoyed before breaking up the meeting. Tre-loa- Nil-so- n, 500 club Mrs. Fred Laird was hostess to the 500 Club on Wednesday of last week. Prizes were won by Don Hopes, Mrs. Bill Dean and Mrs. Dick Laird. A stake dinner will be served at Lucilles Lounge, preceding the regular meeting. Mrs. Ileltor Cushing and son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Kay Cushing were in Salt Lake on Monday, where they combined business and pleasure. w, ll Mrs. Fren Kurtz of Provo, is spending a few days re re with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Greene. Mrs. Greene suffered a fall last week, and is reported in rather poor condition. Cards were dispensed with, and the hostesses for the evening, Colleen McNulty and Helen Laird of Payson, served a tasty lunch.
