Show August 3, 1962 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Page Three Socia t&uen td Open house Sun. to honor matron Mrs. Marie Berry of Mammoth will be honored by her family at open house at her home Sunday, August 12, in celebration of her 82nd birth- Eureka man engaged to wed miss from Nephi Saturday, August 25 Announcement is made this week by Sir. and Mrs. David Austin of Nephi of the engagement and coming marriage of a daughter, Miss Mary Eileen Austin to Thomas Lloyd Randle, son of Mr. and Sirs. Lloyd Randle of Eureka. The young couple will be married in the Juab Stake House Saturday, August 25. Bidden to attend the bride-ele-ct will be Mrs. (Hark Austin, matron of honor; Miss Margaret Ann Austin, maid of honor, sister of the bride, and other attendants will be Sirs. James F. Derry, sister of Mr. Randle, and Miss Sally Lomax, Miss Gwen Gardner, Mrs. Mer-ly-n Bigelow and Mrs. Larry dub leaves 4-- H groups left Wednesday for their annual trip to the Camp in Nephi Canyon. Mrs. Cleo Judge, leader for the Year First Cooking group acof her companied members class who are Alice Judge, Mickey Morris and Debby Laird, and a special member, Eilen Judge. The First Year Sewing group attending are Janet Brady, Marelo Bogdan, aPuline Hansen, Pam McIntyre, Launa and Mary Karen Laird. Mrs. Iris Swensen, leader of the group accompanied them to the Camp. Camp activities will be carried on thru the rest of the week, ending Friday day anniversary. Mrs. Berry was bom in Denmark, a daughter of Hans and Christina Bluhm. She came to Utah with her parents at the age of six years. She married Jack Ernest Berry in Salt Lake City in 1878. She has three sons and three daughters, Jack M., Cedar .City; Virgil Berry and Jewel McNeil, Eureka; Becker, Reno, Nev.; Dan Berry, Bernice Tiffany and Bessie Toone of Mammoth. She has 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Mrs. Berry has lived in Mammoth most of her married life with the exception of a few years spent in Salt Lake City. The open house will be from 1 to 6 p.m. The family requests no gifts. King. Little Pamela Kay Austin will be the flower girl. James F. Derry will perform best man duties. A reception will follow the nuptials. Birthday party honors son La-re- Mrs. Ned Allinson entertain- ed Wednesday afternoon for her son, Bobby, honoring him on his ninth birthday anniversary. The young people were entertained with a variety of games, and Bobbys mother served tasty refreshments to his friends who were, Connie Laurie McCabe, Underwood, Pam Brady, Ramona McIntyre, Charlie Butler, Kathie Berry, JoLynn Jameson and Debbie Atherley. Family dinner honors couple Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fox were hosts at a family dinner 4-- H Al-lins- on, evening. Modem Mrs. Memebrs of the Modem Mrs. Club made a trip to Payson last Wednesday evening, where they enjoyed a movie and went to a cafe for refreshments after the show. fqr the evening were Mrs. J. A. Mrs. Clare Van Ausdal and 3 children of Kearns spent four days last week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ferris. They left for their home on Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mm Jade Coffey were in Lark on Sunday and Monday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Coffey, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fields, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fullmer, who are visiting here from their home in Napa, Calif. Mr. A Mm J. A. Bernini and two sons, David and Jimmy left last Sunday for New York City, where tliev will attend the Golden wedding anniversary of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Bernini. They will spend a couple of weeks visiting with other relatives in the New York area before returning home. Mm Cart Fields returned home last week after spending several days In Milford with her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Flovd Beddingfield (Virginia Fields). Gary Foffcev and three children, Diane, Philip and Laura Lee of Salt Lake strived here Tuesday evening. Mr. Forsey left Wednesday for a business trio to Portland Oregon. Heaton In rites solemnized In the Slant! Temple Friday. Lavon Castleton exchanges vows with Eidred G. Heaton on Friday Castleton and Eidred G. Heaton were united in marriage last Friday, July 27, in rites solemnized in the Mantl IDS Temple. Parents of the young couple, Mr. and Mrs. John N. Castleton and Mr. and Mrs. Eidred G. Heaton accompanied them through the temple, also an aunt and uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Villard Thompson and Mont Chamberlain. A reception honored the newlyweds that evening in the LDS Eureka Ward. The attractive bride greeted guests in a gown of satin and Chantilly lace which had been designed and fashioned by her. The floor length dress featured a round scalloped neckline, trimmed in lace and irridescent peart and long sleeves, tapered at the wrist The full skirt of Chantilly lace revealed a front panel of satin, and her finger-ti- p veil of bride's illusion cascaded from a crown encrusted with seed pearls. Her bouquet was a large orchid surrounded by white gladioli. Miss Sheila Potts, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Castleton and Miss Gloria Castleton, sisters of the bride, and Miss Nila Rae Clow-ar- d and Miss Gwelynn Irons. They wore matching sheath dresses of apricot in a dacron blend, and carried nosegays of white feathered carnations in which were centered yellow rose buds. Best man duties were assumed by Mont Chamberlain. Mother of the bride wore a turquoise gown, while mother of the groom chose green linen to greet the reception guests. Both pinned on corsages of gladioli and rose buds. A program with Bishop Ronald Thomas as master of cere- monies, was presented as follows: Verdon Heaton, opening prayer; vocal solo, Earl Potts, unde of the bride; two musi Miss Lavon cal numbers by Norma Jameson and daughter, JoLynn; a toast to the bride and groom, Linda Jo Peterson; dance by Sharon Payne; musical number. Dave and Fred Garbett; responses by the bride and - groom. Table decorations and refreshments carried out the color of apricot and white, the theme of the reception. A prettily decorated threetiered wedding cake centered a table, and received much attention from the guests who numbered about 200 calling during the evening to extend congratulations and best wishes to the young lace-cover- ed Mr. and Mrs. and their small Jerry Montoya daughter, Gaye, who left later in the week for Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Mr. Montoya will be stationed with the U. S. Navy. They recently returned from Italy after a three year stay. Dinner guests on Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Coffey were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fullmer of Napa, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fields and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Coffey of Lark. Mrs. Earl Potts, aunt of the bride, was in charge of the guest book and receiving the gifts were Mrs. Margaret Hyde, Mrs. Florence Garbett and Mrs. Verda Anderson. After a honeymoon to the Northwest, the newlyweds will make a home in Salt Lake City. The bride attended Untie High School and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She is currently employed in Salt Lake City at the Land Management Bureau. The groom graduated from the Kanab High School and is employed as assistant manager of a service station in the city. Mrs. Frank McCabe and three children were in Salt Lake last Saturday visiting with relatives.
