Show December 1, 19(51 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Couple returns from long trip Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watt returned home last Saturday after an enjoyable trip. They travelled through Minnesota, Michigan, up to Quebec, Canada, over to Bar Harbor, Maine. They spent several days in New York, then went down the east coast to Virginia. They viisted many interesting areas in Knoxville, Term., Stanford, Conn., and in Rochester, Minn. The couple had the pleasure of visiting with many former Eureka residents, Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Kemmerer at Larch-mon- t, New York; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Fox in Princeton, New Jersey; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howd, former residents of Dividend. Mr. Howd is an instructor at the University of Maine. They also had a short visit with Mrs. Wm. Wimer at Amhurst, Va. Mr. Wimer was a geologist at the North Lily Mine during his residence here. They returned home by way of Wyoming, where they visited with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Watt and small son and with other relatives. The travelers report a most enjoyable trip with good weather most of the time, but like all good Eurekans are happy to be home. Prizes were won by Mrs. Harold Naef, Mrs. Norma nSchow, and Mrs. Arnold Swensen. At the conclusion of the card games the hostess 'served tasty refreshments to those named and to Kay Sorensen, Mrs. Rudy Atherley, Mrs. Heber Fields, Mrs. Richard Bate, Mrs. Vance Underwood, Mrs. Carl Peterson, Mrs. Glen Wilde, Mrs. Don Wall and Mrs. LeRoy Gourley. Parents entertain for son and wife Mr. and Mrs. George Forney entertained last Sunday at a forthelr family get-to-geth- son and er daughter-in-la- w, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Forsey of Salt Lake City. It was by way of introducing Mrs. Forsey, a recent addition to the family, and a celebration for Mr. For-se- Miss Linda Lue Dorick takes vows with California man in Nevada Of interest to many Eurekans and former resident is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Linda Lue Dorick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dorick of Menlo aPrk, Calif., and Richard Ian Tjaden, son of Mrs. Dorothy Tjaden of Menlo Park and graduated from San Jose State College. While attending San Jose State, he was a summer reporter and dark room technician for the Menlo Park Recorder, fulfilling his journalism requirements. He is now stationed at Fort Ord with the U. S. Army, and is training as chaplain's assistant. He will be at Fort Ord until January, after which he and his bride will travel together as his orders Lowell E. Tkaden of Whittier, Calif. The bride is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Garity of Eureka and the Doricks are former residents of Eureka. Mrs. Dorick will be remembered as the former Lucile Garity. The young couple stole a march on parents and friends and were married in Las Vegas October 28. They were honored at a wedding breakfast upon their return to Menlo Mrs. Alda Johnson and son, Clarence and her house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nielsen of Lander, Wyoming, drove to Salt Lake on Saturday, where they combined business and pleasure. New Mrs. Tjaden attended schools in Salt Lake City and n graduated from High school. She has ane brother, John Dorick, Jr. Mr. Tjaden attended n High school, and 3 It. and 3Irs. Vem Nevers and Mrs. E. A. Stokes were in Provo on Thanksgiving Day and were dinner guests of Mrs. Norma Bate. Other dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bate of Price and Jerry Bate. Park.
