Prizes were won by Mrs. Rudy Atherley, Mrs. Gene Laird and Mrs. Heber Fields. A delicious lunch was served to those named and to Mrs. Glen Wilde, Mrs. Roy Gourley, Mrs. Carl Peterson, Mrs. Don Wall, Mrs. Kay Sorensen, Mrs. Richard Bate, Mrs. Harold Naef and Mrs. Terry Kay. hosts Canasta Club Tuesday A group of friends called at the home of Mrs. William Wirthlin Tuesday evening and surprised her on the occasion of her 81st birthday anniversary. Games and music furnished the entertainment, with Norma Jameson, Mayme Wirthlin and Mrs. Wirthlin playing piano selection. The guests were thrilled at the playing of Mrs. Wirthlin, since she is able to play along with the best of them, and thoroughly enjoys doing so. A tasty lunch was enjoyed by her guests, who were Florence Gillespie, Nettie Dittmer, Ella Sandstrom, Trina Peterson, Elva Webb, Wilma Webber, Norma Jameson, Nellie Laird, Genevieve Sanderson and Mayme Wirthlin. The Reporter joins with Mrs. Wirthlins many friends in Eureka in extending congratulations and best wishes on her big day. Miners' Auxiliary holds meeting The Miners Union Auxiliary held a regular meeting last Wednesday evening in the Union Hall with President lone Ryan presiding. Following a routine business session plans were discussed for a Christmas project for the Childrens Primary Hospital. A social hour was enjoyed with bingo and 500 as diversion. Prizes were won by La-RFox, Ellen Eataugh and ue Mildred Davis. Mrs. Georgia Laird and Jewel McNeil served tasty refreshments. Mrs. James Monosso (Judy Naef) was the honored guest at a miscellaneous shower given by her mother, Mrs. Earl Naef, last Friday evening in the Memorial Building. WSCS hears report Womens Society of Christian Service will sponsor the annual bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 16, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Building. Pies, cakes, meat pies and some beautiful handwork will be sold. Lunch will be served at noon. A white elephant sale is also planned. Those wishing to purchase meat pies to be taken out, are requested to contact Jackie Banghart, or any member of the Society. Orders should be placed a few days prior to the bazaar to give the ladies a chance to figure on the number needed. The Altar Society of St. Patricks Church held a regular meeting Monday evening in the Parish Rectory. President Faye Wall presided, and she instr-duce- d three visitors from Provo, Mrs. Agnes Brimhall," president of District Council of Catholic Women, and Mrs. Catherine Nelson and Mrs. Mary Hedderman of the Provo-Orearea. Modern Mrs. Club at bridge party Mrs. Jerald Drussell was hostess to the Modern Mrs. Club Wednesday evening of last week. Bridge furnished the entertainment and prizes were won by Mrs. J. A. Bernini, Mrs. Heber Cushing and Mrs. Ray Badertscher. After cards Mrs. Drussell served a tasty lunch to those mentioned and to Mrs. Frank McCabe, Mrs. Darrell Franks, Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mrs. Ted Johnson, Mrs. Floyd Evans. ter business was disposed Entre Nous Literary Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Frank Gear. Mrs. Curtis Butler reviewed the book, "The Little World of Don Comillo by Giovanni Guareschi. Following the review a business session was held and delicious refreshments were served to Mrs. Leonard Ryan, Mrs. Robert Thomas, Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mrs. V. L. Anderson, Mrs. Ethel Donnelly, Mrs. Leslie Randle, Mrs. Maud McIntyre, Mrs. Steele McIntyre, and Mrs. Roger Banghart well, Mrs. Norman Schovv, Mrs. Ray Badertscher, Mrs. Joyce Long and Mrs. Wallace gan. party were made. 500 was enjoyed with Mrs. Kate Ames and Mrs. Farren winning prizes. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Helen New Mrs. Monosso was the recipient of many lovely gifts, and tasty refreshments were served to about 40 guests. Sandersons host family dinner Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Sanderson were hosts at a family dinner party Sunday honoring her mother, Mrs. Wm. Wirthlin on the occasion of the 81st birthday. Turkey with all the trimmings was served to those named and to Mayme Wirthlin and the Sandersons two sons, Julian and Wirth Lynn. Lady in Elks meet regular session Ladies of Elks met in regular session on Tuesday evening in the club rooms with President Grace Bernini in charge. Plans for the annual Christmas banquet were discussed, date for which was set Saturday, Dec. 9. A social hour was enjoyed with bridge prizes won by Mrs. Dee Clement, Mrs. Bernini and Mrs. Heber Cushing. Mrs. William Roberts, hostess, served a tasty lunch.
