Clay-soa son of Mr. and Mrs. He-bClayson of Spanish Fork. this week by n, er Saturday, August 15, has been circled by the young people for the nuptials which will be performed in the Memorial Building in Eureka. A reception will honor the couple imediately following the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Tintic High School and of the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She is employed as for the Travelers Insurance Company in Salt Lake City. The groom is a graduate of Spanish Fork High School and is employed by the Thorn Construction Company of Springville. clerk-typi- st Mr. and Mrs. Elbert J. Lowry, who were married recently at Dugway. She is the former Miss Shirleen Marie Burke, formerly of Eureka. Ladies of Wedding and Reception at Dugway Honor Newlyweds Here Well-Know- n Of interest to many Eurekans is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Shirleen Marie Burke and Elbert J. Lowry on July 11, at the Dugway Chapel. Bishop Forrest M. Peterson officiated at the rites. SFC. and Mrs. Louis W. Denning of Dugway are parents of the bride, and the grooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. Allan Lowry. For her wedding the attractive bride wore a gown of lace over peau de sole. Her finger-ti- p veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls and sequins. She carried a lavendar orchid surrounded by white flo-renti- ne carnations. Maid of honor was Miss Linda Burke, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Miss Linda Newman, Miss Judy Woods and Miss Carolyn Car-loThey wore ballerina gowns in the pastel shades and their icaddress was shoulder length veils, trimmed with flowers. Paul Lowry performed the duties of best man and Steve Lowry and Ricky Burke ushered. Following the ceremony, parents of the bride honored the young couple at a reception at their home. A beautifully ded corated cake, made the brides father and the by w. four-tiere- bridegrooms mother, was the center of attraction on a lace covered table. The newlyweds left after the reception for a honeymoon to Yellowstone Park. Upon their return they will make a home in Dugway. The groom is the resident engineer from the San Francisco Regional District and employed at Dugway. The bride is a former resident of Eureka and attended school here before moving with her parents to Dugway. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Underwood of Eureka and Mrs. Hattie Jones of Salt Lake. Elks Conduct Meet Ladies of Elks met Thursday evening in the lodge rooms with President Patricia Brady presiding. Following the regular order of business, several games of bridge were enjoyed with Mrs. Howard Fields, Mrs. Gerald Drussell and Mrs. Robert Fife winning the prizes. Mrs. Leland Sanderson, hos- tess for the evening, served a tasty lunch. 3. A. Pilon of Slick Rock, Colo., spent the weekend here at the home of Mrs. Margaret Lucas. When he returned to Colorado Sunday night, he was accompanied by his wife and three children, who had spent the past two weeks here at the Lucas home.
