Show Page Three Church Leader Cuentd Officiates at Sister's Wedding CrlL Corner Father Daz was in Ogden last Saturday officiating at the Dr. and Mrs. Warren Salmon of Lynwood, Calif., are announcing the birth of a daughter bom Wednesday, Mar. 18. The Salmons are the parents of five other children, Larry, Peggy, Scott, Cathie and Michael, who are pleased at the addition to the family. Mrs. Salmon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Forscy, and nuptials for his sister, Miss Nancy Daz and T. Sgt. Lawrence E. Payne. The new bride is a daughter of Mrs. Edith Daz of Ogden. Mr. Payne is a son of Mrs. Lotie Payne of Tuscalusa, Ala. The couple was married in St. Josephs Catholic Church. A reception in the Terrace Room of the Ben Lomond Hotel honored the newlyweds. New Mrs. Payne is a graduate of St. Marys of the Wasatch, and the benedict is stationed at Fort Douglas with the U. S. Marines. Mrs. Payne is teaching in the elementary paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Warren Salmon, Sr. of Orem. Word was received in Eureka last week of the birth of a baby daughter bom Friday, March 13, to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Laird in Grants, New Mexico. The little miss will be schools in Ogden, and will continue until the end of the school year, when she will join her husband in California, where he is being transferred. named Linda, and she checked in at 6 lbs. 9 ozs. She has two brothers, Randy 5, and two year-ol- d Gary. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Sterl Laird of Eureka, and Mr. anr Mrs. Wm. Balzley of Benjamin. Mrs. Clarence Rostrom Entertains Club Mrs. Clarence Rostrom entertained the 500 Club at her home in Mammoth Thursday afternoon. A tasty 3Ir. and Mrs. Ernest Carter and son, Terry, who have been visiting in Mammoth, returned to Grants, New Mexico Tuesday morning. luncheon was served and cards were enjoyed by the members, Mrs. Melvin Hansen, Mrs. James Toone, Mrs. Harold Sorensen, Mrs. Marie Berry, Mrs. Charles Warren, Mrs. Billy Dean, Mrs. Chriss Sorensen, Mrs. Oscar Harold Sorensens Hosts at Dinner Preceding the St. Patrick's Ball last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sorensen were hosts at a dinner party at their in Eureka. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Sorensen, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sorensen and son and daughter Penney and Max, Mike Lucas and Paulette and Dick Sorensen. Later the adults attended the home dance. Mrs. Anna Franks Club Hostess The Bridge Club met Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Anna Franks. At the conclusion of the games the hostess served lunch to members, Mrs. Dee. Clement, Mrs. Ted Johnson, Mrs. Roy Gourley, Mrs. Harry Dean, Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mrs. Alliene Farren and special guests, Mrs. John Jones and Mrs. Leonard Ryan. Prizes were won by Mrs. Clement, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Gourley. Business, Cards Honored at Dinner At Rebekah Meet Mrs. A. E. Tuckett was honored at a birthday dinner party last Sunday at her home here. Her granddaughter, Mrs. Max Larsen, prepared and served the dinner. Attending were Mr. Tuckett, Mr. and Mrs. Brennan Hannifin and daughter Gertie Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hannifin, Mrs. Larsens two children, Ronald Bray, Duane Fox and Mrs. Lena Franks. After the regular business cards were enjoyed with prizes being won by Alliene Farren and Ruby Robinson. Hostesses were Alliene Farren and Anna Franks, who served tasty refreshments. 500 Club Meets At Eastwood Home Mrs. Wm. Eastwood entertained the 500 Club at her home last week. In the card playing prizes were won by Mrs. Charles Warren, Mrs. Leo Sparrow, and Mrs. Bart Ryan. Refreshments were served to those mentioned and to Mrs. Billy Dean, Mrs. Jack Larsen, Mrs. Max Berry, Mrs. Leo Robinson and Mrs. Dick Laird. Mr. and Mrs. George Dale and two children, returned to Arizona last week, after spending a week here with Mrs. Dales parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Boss. Mr. Dale is employed in the Grand Canyon area for Centennial Development Co. Hansen, Mrs. Toone, Mrs. Harold Sorensen and Mrs. Berry. 2 met New Mexico Party Given Kathleen Rowley Mrs. Elizabeth Rowley was honored last week at a surprise birthday party in Grants, New Mexico, where a group of are living for the present. Games were played and refreshments served. A beautiful birthday cake was presented to Mrs. Rowley and also many gifts.
