Jones Take Wedding Vows in Church Rifes Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franks are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Helen to Hubert F. Jones. The ceremony was performed at a nuptMass in St. Cath-- L. of E. Meet Ladies of Elks met in regular session on Tuesday evening In the Elks Club rooms with President Cleo Judge presiding. Following the business session, bridge was enjoyed with Mrs. Paul Hansen winning high score end Mar jean Finch, and Mrs. Hamilton Laird other prizes. After cards, Mrs. J. A. Bernini, hostess, served a tasty lunch. ial Officer Vacancies Val-mo- Filled by O.E.S. Tintic Chapter, No. 18, OES, met in regular session Monday evening with Worthy Matron Agnes Anderson presiding, as- sisted by Worthy Patron Leonard Ryan. Ethel Brenton was elected Conductress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Ellen Ferguson. Elizabeth Franke was elected to the office of Esther, which was held by Miss Brenton. The two officers were installed, with Vola Nev'-erPast Worthy Matron as the installing officer. s, After - the installation ceremonies and a routine business session, Virginia and Leslie Randle served refreshments. Alter Society Conducts Meet The Alter Society of St Patricks Catholic Church held a regular monthly meeting at the parish rectory Monday evening with President Emma Lewis calling the meeting to order. Secretary Virginia Cartwright read the minutes of the previous meeting and gave account of the financial standing of the society. A short routine business session was held and plans for future activities were discussed. Jon and Jim Pilon of Slick-roc- k, Colo., sons of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Pilon, spent the holidays here with their grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Lucas. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Milne and son, Alan left last Friday for Grants, New Mexico, after spending the holidays here with relatives. P. .O. E. No.' 711. Dinner was served at 7 p.m. to members and their partners. Tom Eastwood, chairman of the entertainment committee was master of ceremonies. He introduced the officers and Past Exalted rulers, and the two Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Rulers, Alex Blight and Wilford Redmond. Herbert Curwen, exalted ruler, gave a short talk md Alexander Blight also gave a few well chosen remarks. Dancing was. enjoyed following the banquet, and the old year was given a fond farewell at midnight, and the New Year was ushered in with a glowing welcome. Homs, caps and noisemakers were passed among the dancers, which added much to the evening of fun, foolishness and frivolity. A buffet lunch was enjoyed after midnight. Jones of Detroit, Mich. and Miami, Florida. They made the trip from Miami to attend the wedding. Immediately following the nuptials, a wedding breakfast, at the Newhouse Hotel honored the briday party, members of the families and a few close friends. After a honeymoon of undisclosed destination, they will make a home in Salt Lake for the present, where the groom is employed in the engineering division of the Honeywell Company. New Mrs. Jones is a graduate of Tintic high school and attended St. Marys of the Wasatch in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Franks and son Don of Eureka, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Franks and daughter of Tucson, Arizona, were in Salt Lake for the wedding. Others from Eureka attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lucas and Mrs. Patricia Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yamashita, and Mrs. Harold Chatwin, formerly of Eureka, now residing in Salt Lake.
