A turkey dinner was served and the rooms were gay with Christmas decorations, complete with a Christmas tree. To add to the enjoyment the members exchanged gifts. After the dinner cards were enjoyed with prizes won by Mrs. Wm. Eastman, Mrs. Bart Ryan, Mrs. Billy Dean. Others attending were Mrs. Bob Robinson, Mrs. Charles Warren, Mrs. Leo Sparrow, Mrs. Wm. Morris and Mrs. Max Berry. Literary Club Holds Gay Christmas Party Entre The Nous Club Christmas Literary party was held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Leonard Ryan. A festive Christmas motif was carried out throughout the living and dining room. Dinner was served with Mrs. Robert Thomas, president, in charge of the nicely arranged evening. WS of CS Sponsors Christmas Dinner Husbands Invited To Bridge Club A festive Christmas Motif was carried out at the Methodist church Saturday evening, when the Women's Society of Christian Service met for their annual Christmas party. A decorative Christmas centerpiece added to the beauty of the table, which consisted of tree balls and pine boughs, tied with a gayly colored ribbon. Mrs. Wm. Treloar entertained the group with a piano medley of Christmas carols, and a variety of games were enjoyed, and the members exchanged gifts. The evening ended on a happy note with the group singing Christmas carols. Those attending were: Marie Holmes, Annie Vivian, Ada Randle, Virginia Randle, Mabel Butler, Mrs. Treloar, Elsie Edna Jasper, Patricia Brady, Miyo Yamashita, Annie Smith, Alliene Farren, Vola Nevers, Gladys Dean, and the special, guests of the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brenan. Mr. Brenan is the pastor of the Methodist Church at the present time. The next meeting wrill be held at the home of Mrs. Leonard Ryan on Thursday, Jan. 8. The Memorial hall was the setting Sunday evening for the annual Christmas party for the Bridge Club with their husbands as special guests. Christmas designs and clever table decorations made for a delightful holiday party. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree and an exchange of gifts put the group in the holiday spirit. A banquet was served and Mrs. Darrell Franks and Mrs. Ray Badertscher were responsible for table decorations consisting of a large snowman as a centerpiece with favors and other decorations carrying out the snowman theme. A variety of parlor games were enjoyed. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Franks, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Badertscher, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCabe and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bernini. Nil-so- n, Refreshments carried out the holiday colors and gifts were exchanged by members. A variety of games furnished the evenings entertainment. Those attending were Mrs. V. L. Mrs. Clarence Rostrom Rebekahs Hold Social Evening met last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Clarence Rostrom. In the card playing priz- "500" Club Hostess The Mammoth , "500 club Webb, and Mrs. Stella Shea. Virginia Bradford, Alliene es were won by Mrs. Charles Warren, Mrs. James Toone, Mrs. Billy Dean and Mrs. Marie Berry. After cards the hostess served a tasty lunch to those named and to Mrs. Harold Sorensen, Mrs. Bernice Rusby, Mrs. Oscar Erickson, Mrs. Melvin Hansen and the special guest, Mrs. Ray Jensen. served tasty refreshments. Air. and Airs. Don Julander (Charlene Bird) of Provo, are Noble Grand Lova Jones presided at the meeting of the Rebekah Lodge held last Thursday evening. At the close of the business session an evening of cards was enjoyed. He is a student at the Utah State University in Logan. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Haynes were his sister, Mrs. C. L. and Jack and her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Livingston and their two children, Jackie and Suzie, of Salt Lake. son-in-la- w Page Three Children Enjoy Party At Haynes Home &d& Mrs. Theodore Haynes enter- tained at a childrens party last week, honoring her son Teddy, on his 6th birthday. The little people were entertained during the afternoon with party games, and Teddys mother served refreshments to the little guests. A beautiful birthday cake was the center of attraction. Helping Teddy celebrate were Bobby Allinson, Charlie Butler, Bobby Warren, Adele Nebeker, Jolyn Jameson, Le Ann Kay, Valeria Ramona McIntyre, Janet Hansen, Pam Sawyer, Brady, Laurie McCabe, Lesia Larsen, Vickie Walker, Cathie Berry, Charlie Yamashita, Teddy Johnson, Wirth Sanderson, Robert and Cathie Montoya. Assisting Mrs. Haynes were Jackie and Suzie Livingston of Shit Lake, and Rose Ann Ferris, Julie Ann Cartwright and Sheila Potts. Mr. and Airs. Leonard Ryan and and daughter, Shauna Mrs. Martha Van Wagoner left last Friday for California. The Ryans will visit with a daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maury Newman in Bakersfield, and Mrs. Van Wagoner will spend the holidays with her son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Charles Van Wagoner and their small daughter at their home in Palmdale. w, Mrs. Elsie Nilson left Sunday for Orem, where she will spend the holidays with her sister and brother-in-laand Mrs. Glen Storrs. w, Mr. Airs. Luella Gear left Tuesday for Salt Lake, where she will spend the holidays with a daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Emron Birch. Word was received in Eureka this past week of the birth of a baby daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Dick) Fields in Fairfield, Cal. The little miss tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 10 ozs., and will be named Cynthia Ann. The new Dad is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fields of Lark, Utah, former residents of Eureka. Of interest to many Eurek-an- s and readers is the announcement of the birth of a baby boy to Air. and Mrs. Don Bufton. The welcome little fellow arrived at the Payson hospital on Friday, Dec. 19 and Weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 ozs. New mother will be remembered as Anna Jean Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Jones, of Payson, former residents of. out-of-to- . Eureka. Miners' Union Auxiliary Sponsors Banquet Miners' Union Auxiliary celebrated at their annual Christmas party last Thursday in the Miners Union Hall. A banquet was served with table decorations carrying out the Yuletide theme. There was an exchange of gifts among the members. Following the dinner a regular meeting was held with President Bernice Taylor conducting. 500 & Bingo were the game diversions and prize winners were Bernice Rusby, Mildred Davis, Jewel McNeil and lone Ryan.
