Slae Brown and Mrs. Sadie Mitchell returned home Tuesday evening after a three-wee- k vacation spent in Idaho and in Butte, Mont While in Kellogg, Idaho, they were the guests of Sirs. Browns son and family, Sir. and Mrs. Leonard Brown. They spent a few days in Butte, Slont., with a nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Aylward and their three children. Firemen Fight Blaze on Home Fire of undetermined origin at the home of Sir. and Sirs. Vaughn Clement last Thursday at midnight caused considerable excitement, but fortunately not too much damage to the residence. The fire apparently started outside the house and burned up the wall into the attic. The firemen report it was a hard fire to fight as it was almost impossible to find the source of the blaze and the thick smoke prevented them from discovering it immediately. Smoke damaged the inside of the house but the fire weds controlled before it reached the inside of the dwelling thanks to the prompt and efficient work of the firemen. Amount of damage has not as yet been determined. Kiwanians Hosts To Group of Midvale Clubmen Several members of the Midvale Kiwanis club traveled to Eureka Wednesday evening for an inter-clu- b Bobby Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson of Mammoth suffered a severe injury to his foot while vacationing in the Boise area. The Ericksons were returning from a trip to the northwest and Bobby was water skiing in a lake near Boise and after off the skiis in the water, stepped on a piece of getting glass cutting the tendons in his foot. He is confined to a hospital in Boise where the injury has been described as ser- ious. Reports state that he will have to be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Bennett has disclosed that 38 percent of the students graduating from Tin-ti- c high school this year plan to attend college. This compares to a state average of 78 per cent. Plans of the students were revealed in a questionaire recently sent by Sen. Bennett to all graduating high school students in the state in cooperation with the principals of the high schools.
