The honored guest was Mrs. Sterling Burras ton. An evening of games was enjoyed and Mrs. Burraston was presented with a lovely gift by the club members. Mrs. Schow served a delicious lunch, and a beautifully decorated birthday cake formed the centerpiece for the pretty dining table. Others attending were Mrs. Henry Wall, Mrs. Jack Lucas, Mrs. Frank Peart, Mrs. Alliene Farren, Mrs. Wayne Chambers, Mrs.' Harold Chatwin, Mrs. Harry Yamashita, Mrs. Minnie Painter and two special guests, Mrs. Mark Taylor and Mrs. Dewey Robinson. Mr. and Sirs. Cecil Fitch, Jr., spent the weekend in Denver, where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Gebhardt. Sir. and Mrs. Sam Gardner left last Sunday for Boise, Ida., where, they will visit with members of their family. Auxiliary Meet WSCS Conducts Regular Meeting ' l On Thursday, Feb. 27, Womens Society of Christian Service met at the home of Mrs. Leonard Ryan, with Mrs. Annie Vivian hostess for the meeting. The business meeting .was called to order by the group repeating the Lord's Prayer. Friday, Feb. 28 was Chain Prayer Day. Each member was asked to pray one-ha- lf hour during the day. The lesson, There He Prayed was read by Vola Nevers. At the conclusion of the lesson each member recited a prayer. Those present were Alliene Farren, Elsie Nllson, Vola Nelr, son, Annie Smith, Pansy Ada Randle, Virginia Randle and Myrtle Theriault. The next meeting on Thursday March 13, will be held at the home of Mrs. Wm. Treloar. Tre-loa- Mrs. Robert Fife Entertains Club Mrs. Robert Fife entertained the members of the Bridge Club last Thursday evening. At the conclusion of the card games the hostess served tasty refreshments to Mrs. Gerald Drussell, Mrs. Martin Fennell, Mrs. Elmo Boswell, Mrs. Sanderson, Mrs. Henry Wall, Mrs. Thomas Judge and the special guests, Mrs. Heber Cushing and Mrs. Max Berry. High score was won by Mrs. Cushing, the all-cby Mrs. Fennell and the raffle by Mrs. Drussell. Le-la- nd Mrs. Max Berry Club Hostess ' The American Legion Auxiliary will hold the regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 10, at the Memorial Building. The 500 Club met last Wednesday evening with Mrs. Max Berry. Prize winners were Mrs. Charles Warren, high score; Mrs. Leo Sparrow, the all-cand Mrs. William Morris, ut Joyce Sanderson Has 16th Birthday After cards Mrs. Berry served tasty refreshments to those named and to Mrs. Bart Ryan, That long awaited 16th birthday finally arrived for Joyce Sanderson on Thursday, Feb. 27. The big event was celebra- Mrs. Bob Robinson, Mrs. Billy Dean, Mrs. William Eastwood, ted with a birthday party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Laird. and Mrs. Orris Sanderson. Bingo furnished part of the evenings entertainment, and each guest brought a gift, which added much to the fun of the game. Other party games were played, some for prizes, and others., just for fun. The cameras were busy snapping pictures, mostly when the subject was least aware of the deal, and gave them no chance to pose for said pictures. The hostess felt it was a wonderful way to remember the happy day.
