A spring wedding is being planned by the young Mrs. Chriss Sorensen, Mrs. Ctarence Rostrom, Mrs. Melvin Hansen, Mrs. Bernice Rusby, Mrs. James Toone, Mrs. Jean Rose, Mrs. Harold Sorensen, Mis. Martin Fennel home Sunday evening all added up to a perfect birthday celebration for the FenneH daughter Jo Rae, who celebrated her seventeenth birthday. The teenage group played Bonko, a lively game just right for young folks full of pep and ginger, and prizes for the winners went to Chyrle Thomas and Terry Kay. Pictures were taken around the Christmas tree, underneath the mistletoe ?? and a delicious buffet lunch was- served. Pot Luck Lunch at TDMU Auxiliary Meet Tintic District Miners Union Ladies Auxiliary met last Wednesday evening in the Miners Union hall with President Clara Garbett in charge. A pot luck lunch was enjoyed and a short business meeting was held, followed by a social evening. Bingo and 500 were played and the Bingo prize was won by Virginia Bradford, and Joan Campbell won the 500 prize, the cut prize by Alliene Farren and the raffle by Georgia Laird. Chapman (Roberta Frances) McLamb of High Point, North Carolina, and a brother, Richard Zoller of Seattle spent a happy day Thanksgiving Day at the h'ome of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chapman. Mrs. Lamb was given in . adoption soon after birth in 1931, and her brother, a toddler, was adopted by another family. The mother kept the older daughter, now Mrs. Chapman, and some nine years later was reunited with younger daughter. All traces of the brother was lost years before the mother and daughters moved to North Carolina in 1946. Some of his relatives are known to reside in Oakland, and it is the hope of his family that they might be able to give them some information concerning their dad. Since being reunited, it was learned that the brother and Mrs. Chapman attended the same high school, but never knew each other. The family dinner was held at the Chapman home and Mrs. Carlson reports that it was a most enjoyable day. This was the first time Ed had met any of his wifes family, and it was a very happy day for all. Joining the group were Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Larsen and son Charles of Los Angeles. Mrs. Larsen will be remembered as Elda Carlson, ' sister of Lloyd Carlson and a daughter of Mrs. Olive Carlson of Eureka. Many residents of California have offered aid in finding the father, and National Radio and TV have also offered aid. Mr. and Mrs. Ray .Badertscher and son Lee, were in Salt Lake on Sunday, where they visited, with Rays parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Badertscher, Sr. Home for the holidays from Primary Children At Christmas Party The Primary held a Christmas party last Wednesday afternoon under the direction of the president, Millie Kay. A nice program was presented, and the group separated into their various classes where they made Christmas gifts for their parents. Later in the after-- " noon Santa Claus made his appearance and the young folks were given a Christmas stocking. Arriving home for the holi days on Saturday were Ronald and Larry Thomas, sons of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Thomas, and Mrs. Wm. Bate. The young and Richard Bate, son of Mr. men are stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., and will spend a two week leave here. Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Kent (Colleen Cushing) of Salt Lake spent the Christmas holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Cushing. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Paxman and daughter, Maxine, were in Salt Lake on Saturday visiting relatives. When they returned to Eureka they were accompanied by Mrs. Paxmans mother, Mrs. P. N. Mrs. Elsie Nllson left Sunday for Orem, where she will spend the holidays with her sister and spacious rooms. A colorful display of gifts was placed under a Vautifully trimmed tree, and liter they were exchanged among the members. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fields of Lark, spent Christmas Day here with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Coffey. who is stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, arrived Saturday evening to spend the holidays with his wife, the former Patricia Lucas. Children Praised For Operetta Once again the elementary school children are receiving praise for their presentation of the Operetta, Santa and the Space Men, staged last Thursday evening in the Tintic high school Auditorium. All students from the first fiTade to the 6th inclusive, participated in the Operetta and all performed equally well, which reflected credit on the teachers, Agnes Anderson, Elizabeth Haynes, Roanna Hansen, Gertrude Church, Morley Peterson and Earlean Gear, and the music director, Ronald Griggs and the La Von Walker.accompanist, Catherine Chatterton fashioned the eyecatching programs. The audience was very appreciative of the efforts put forth by the little people and the applause was loud and long. The costumes were colorful, and it was a satisfying bit of entertainment for all It was really a Merry Christmas at the Sterling Burraston home their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Gary d of Kissinnee, Florida arrived last Thursday evening to spend the holidays here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Redmond and the son-in-la- w, Red-Mon- Sterling Burrastons. Arriving on Saturday night was the Burraston son, Lee who is sta tioned at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. Then Dad Burraston who Is employ ed at Grants, New Mexico, arrived home Christmas Eve, and the last arrival made the holi day complete, with a family that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. re-uni- on Miss Ethel Brenton Salt Lake left the Airport Monday morning for San Francisco, where she will spend the holidays with Miss Helen Downey, a former resident of Eureka. Mr. and Mrs. Maury Newman and two sons of Bakersfield, Calif:, arrived Saturday and will spend the Christmas holidays here with Mrs. Newmans parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ryan and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson and son Bobby and Mrs. James Toone drove to Salt Lake Sunday to meet Richard Erickson, who arrived in the city that night. They decided to make a day of it, and visit with relatives and friends along the way, while waiting for their sons arrival. They stopped in American Fork and visited with Mrs. Dick Wilson, a niece of Mr. Erickson; and in Midvale they visited another niece and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Tony De Marco, and in Salt Lake they called on Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thome, Mr. and Mrs. and Mr. Delbert Houghton, and Mrs. Fred Henkel. They made a call at the Veterans Hospital to see Mrs. Toones brother, Dan Berry, who has been confined there for several weeks. Then came the climax to the whole day, a bus carrying the Erickson son home.
