President Catherine Pannell urges a good attendance, as business of importance will be brought before the meeting. Cards Featured At TDMUL Meet Tintic District Miners' Union Ladies Auxiliary met Wednesday in regular session in the Miners' Union Hall, with Bernice Taylor presiding. After the business of the evening was disposed of, cards wer enjoyed. Mrs. Hilda Webb won the high score for 500; Mildred Davis, the Bingo prize, . Bernice Taylor the house prize, and Vola Nevers, the nickel drill prize.. Mrs. Nevers was hostess for the evening and served a tasty lunch. of Elks Conduct Meeting - Ladies of Elks met in regu- lar session on Tuesday evening in the Elk's Club rooms. Presi- dent Naomi Cushing presided at the business meeting. Tentative plans were made for the annual Christmas banquet, which will be held on, Dec.. 7. Other business of importance was disposed of and a social session was enjoyed. In the card playing, Mrs. Gerald Drus-se- ll was the winner of the first prize, Mrs. Hamilton Laird, allcut prize and Mrs. Elden Nelson, the raffle prize. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Cushing, who was hostess for the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunn of Nephi were visitors Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Coffey. Names orner Of interest to many Eurekans is the announcement of the birth of a baby boy, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smythe of Richland, Washington. This is the 7th child for the couple, two boys and five daughters. Mrs. Smythe will be remembered as Helen Fields, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fields. The Fields made a home here for many years. New Officers 'Take My Life' Reviewed at Club The Entre Nous Club met last Wednesday, evening with Mrs. Steele McIntyre at her home in Mammoth. The book review for the evening "Take My Life by Eddie Cantor. Jane Ardmore collaborated with him in the writing of his autobiography. It was a highly interesting and and was entertaining book thoroughly enjoyed by the members. A short business meeting followed the review and the hostess served tasty refreshments to members, Mrs. Ethel Donnelly, Mrs. V. L. Anderson, Mrs. Elva Bonner, Mrs. Wilson Lee, Mrs. Leonard Ryan, Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mrs. Alexander Blight, Mrs. Myrtle Theriault, Mrs. Leslie Randle, Mrs. John Andrew and Mrs. Thomas. Bridge Club at Allinson Home Mrs. Ned Allinson entertained the Bridge Club last Wednesday evening. Winner were Mrs. Elmo Boswell, hibh score; t; and 'Mrs. Robert Fife, Mrs. Gerald Drussell, raffle. WINNING THE WEST! tfttr tkt ftmtu Amman Carl Sandstrom suffered a back injury, a broken rib and bruises Tuesday morning while at work at the Dragon mine. A rock fell striking him in the back while he was working in the open pit at the mine. He was taken to the Utah Valley hospital in Provo and is reported to be somewhat improved, which will be good news to his many friends.
