The June meeting of this organisation was to be held in Eureka June 27th and 28th. when Eureka Klwania club would play host to the entire state if they could be indured to come to this great Mining Camp for the event. Senator P. J. Fennell, a prominent official of the Associated Civic Clubs had been appointed general chairman for the convention. He had appointed committees and had them working vigorously. The tentative program included the usual official session during Native of Eureka Dies in Richfield the day on Saturday; a banquet in the evening after which there would be a grand ball. The following day (Sunday) to be devoted to a tour of inspection to demonstrate to out of town people what the' mining industry la. Arrangements were blng made for visitors to go into the bowels of the earth and with a mining engineer as a guide and instructor learn something of a first hand nature. Governor Blood and members of the State road commission were expected to be in attendance together with officials of some of the mining companies. Arrangements had been made whereby the people of Tintic district would enjoy another summer of recreation under the able management or supervision of Coach Seth Parkinson. The program aa arranged is for the benefit of people of all agea. The program to include, soft ball leagues, soft hall for those who don't compete and soft ball for the younger people. Volleyball, tennis, horseshoe games. An effort was to be made to take a few trips to some of the picnic resorts during the summer. Mr. and Mrs. John Farren and children of Lark, moved to Eureka to make their future home. Sale of Poppies Goes Over Pine In Eureka District The sale of Popples last Saturday proved to be wonderfully successful, according to Poppy chairman, Virginia Bradford.
