Show March 18, 1955 The Eureka (Utah) Reporter Page Three Four Generations Pay Tribute to Beloved Couple at Golden Wedding The following article la a bit belated, but owing to audden and rather aerioua illneaa to a member of the John Phippa family, your reporter waa unable to obtain aome ncceaaary information to complete the article. Four generation were rep relented at the open house held for Mr. and Mr. John Phippa on the occasion of their Golden Wedding anniversary. Standing for picture were John Phippa, his aon, Albert, and Curtis Phipps, Albert's son, and Curtis young aon, Stephen. Five generations should have been represented as John Phipps' father is still living, and Is 88 years old, but was unable to make the trip to Eureka. Inclement weather the day of the open house prevented several car loads of friends and relatives from Heber from attending. Blizzard conditions in the Heber area were rather severe. However many folks made the trip to Business, Luncheon Features WSCS Meet was the center of attraction. During the afternoon light refreshments were served, and about 200 people called to extend congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Phipps, and they were the recipients of some beautiful gifts. Cards, telegrams, flowers, and wads of cards were sent to the happy couple from their many friends from town and those from All in all it was a very happy day for Mr. and Mrs. Phipps. n. "Song of Ruth" Reviewed at Club Th Entre Nous club meeting on Wednesday evening was held at f Mr with Mrs. Elysabeth FranksRandle, giving the review. She reviewed Frank G Slaughter's book "The Song of Ruth," which was thoroughly enjoyed by the club members. Following the review a short discussion followed and a business was held, after which the hostess served a tasty lunch to Mrs. Frank Gear, Mrs. Leonard Ryan, Mrs. Ethel Donnelly, Mrs. V. L.
