Mertuarv. winter has caused many of the graves to settle, and the cemetery in fart presents a sorry picture It has never lie fore been in such a deplorable state. We thought it liest lo bring this eondition to the attention of the residents and to Inform mr readers so that the existing conditiona can lie remedied. Manv headstones are toppled over, and fences broken down in many rases. In passing it would not be amiss to pay a small tribute to Jark who was lairied on Turnday of this week, for the wonderful rare given by him to many of the lots in the cemetery. Mr. Nilson gave much of hia time during the aum-mmonths to caring for the Mason and Elk plots, and for many Individual graves in tho cemetery. He paid particular attention to lots owned by people who have left the district ami saw that many graves were decorated, which otherwise would have gone unnoticed, had it not been for hia thoughtfulness and kindly attention. Hia love for flowers was well known to all in the community and each week during tha summer months found him placing bouquets of hia flowers on many forgotten grave. He would have felt very unhappy ahout the condition of the cemetery and would have seen that many people were informed of the rnndltion of their loved onea' grave. American Arthur G.
