M, died Friday, Aug. 17, in the Utah Vulley hospital in Provo, after a brief illness. Mrs. Sanford was horn August 30. lftiM. in Litchfield, a daughter of Benjamin and Mary Unix Pur-iaAt the age of 16 ahe moved, with her parents, to Mona. Juab county. She waa married to Iuvcll Sanford in 1B12 and they made their home In Eureka. Mr. Sanford died in October of 1944. She was a member of the Methodist church and had been employed by the local J. C. IVnney store for 20 years prior to the store's closing in January of this year. She left Eureka in February of this yrar and had been working at Firinage'a in Provo prior to her death. Survivors included her mother, Mrs. Mary Lintz Pariah, longtime resident of Eureka, now making her home in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Scott died of a heart attack Aug. 2. in Santa Monica. Calif. Mrs. Scott will be remembered as Miss Vera Mitchell. She married d "Red Hansen in Eureka, who died the first year of the flu epidemic in 191ft. Later she moved with her son, Wilford to Butte, Mont. Mr. Scott died four months ago of a heart attack. It was not until she arrived at the hospital that she noticed her ring was missing. A thorough search was made both in the truck and in the vicinity of the accident, with no success. The truck was sold to Max Larsen and taken to Peer Lodge. Montana, in rarly January, and it was taken to a garage for repairs. The garage mechanic discovered both the ring and Mrs. Larsen's watch in the truck, and returned them to Mr. Larsen, who tossed the ring into the glove compartment thinking it had no value.
