Eureka Service Station FRANK BACON, Prop. PHONE 26 whv EUREKA, UTAH F. 0. E No. 217 Meets every S Monday Oclock BFC.AlSE ihe nutoinohile Is such an lm factor in the lives and proa jirritv of st many people, the purpose of tlu Fonl Motor Company is something more than the mere manufacture of m-.- : tor car. There is no service in simply setting up a machine or a plant and letting It turn out good. The service extends Into design, every del ail of the business the and sell the wages paid production, iug price. All are a part of the plan. The Ford Motor Company looks upon itself as charged with making an auto nioliile that will meet the needs of millions of people and to prov ide It at a low price. That is its mission. That li its duty and il obligation to the public. The searrli for belter ways of doing There Is cease things is never-endinless, untiring effort to find new methods anti new machines that will save steps and time in manufacturing. The Fonl plants arc, in reality, a great mechanical uni versitv, dedicated to the advancement of Industry. Many manufacturers come to see and share tlie progress made. The greatest progress comes by never stunding still. Today's methods, however successful, ran never be takra as whollvo right. They represent sliuply the beM efforts of the moment. Tomorrow must bring an Improve g. men! In the methods of the day before. Hard work usually finds tbe way. Onre It was thought impossible to cast gray iron by tbe endless chain method. All precedent was against it and every previous experiment had failed. But fair prices to tbe public demanded that wasteful methods bo eliminated. Finally the way was found. A better way of making axle shafts saved million dollars in four years. thirty-si- x A new method of cutting crankcases reduced the cost by $300,000 a year. The perfection of a new machine saved a similar amount on such a little thing as one bolt. Then electric welding was developed to make many bolts unnecessary and to Increase structural strength. Just a little w hile ago, an endless chain conveyor almost four miles long was installed at the Rouge plant. This conveyor has a daily capacity of 300,000 parts weighing more than 2,000,000 pounds. Ry substituting the tireless, unvarying machine for tasks formerly done by hand, it has made the day's work easier for thousands of workers and saved time and money in the manufacture of the car. All of these things are done in the interest of the public so that the benefits of reliable, economical transportation may he placed within the turans of evrrv one. night. Miners Unlou llall. M.
