Buchanan, Roosevelt, and Rudy Winkler Monson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monson, Altamont, were married in the Salt Lake Temple, Nov. 1, during a double ring ceremony performed by President LaMont Peterson. A wedding meal was enjoyed by members of the party at the hosted by the grooms parents. A reception honoring the young newlyweds was held at the Roosevelt Stake House, Nov. 2 and the young couple received guests from under a golden archway with pink backdrop baskets of deep red roses, gladiolas and pink carnations, on each side of the arch. The bride looked charming in a empire waist gown with round neck, and long full sleeves and wide lace that covered the bodice and went down the front and up the back of the gown and was covered with tiny seed pearls. The veil had a headpiece that matched the lace in the dress, also with pearls. It was floor length and formed a train. Her bouquet was of deep red roses, pink carnations, and baby breath with pink and cranberry colored ribbon. Judy Monson served the bride as Maid of honor. Her gown was the same as that worn by the bridesmaids except that the top was pink and the bottom was in cranberry. Her bouquet was also the Chuck-A-Ram- same as those carried by the bridesmaids. Bridesmaids were Dorene Monson, Shauna. Sherrie, Rosalie and Rolene Buchanan. All gowns were long pink princess style with high collars, with puffed sleeves and a bell with a bow in the back. Bouquets were of a single deep red rose and pink daisies and baby breath with a bow of cranberry colored ribbon. Vonda Tophan and Karen and Kristen Pugsley served as flower girls, adorned in long pink sheer dresses with long velvet ribbons tied in the front. They carried baskets of flowers. The brides mother wore a floor length gown of cranberry color with long sleeves. Her flowers were pink carnations and baby roses. The bridegrooms mother wore a gown similar to that worn by the brides mother with flowers also the same. Brent Fieldsted and Clark Winkler were best men to the groom. The wedding cake had three tiers with scallops hanging from the top tier and decorated with pink roses and a bride and groom. Those in charge of the serving were Diane Roberts, Collette Winkler, Angie Fisher, Melinda and Denise Frandsen and Shellie Walker.
