Neighborhood Sew Mrs. Floyd Labrum hosted the Neighborhood Sewing Club Wednesday evening. The evening was spent doing different kinds of handwork and visiting. A dessert luncheon was served to fourteen members. Adalee Burke and Joseph King Wall, were united in holy matrimony in a double ring ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple August 9, by President Edmund. Adalee is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Burke, Indio, Calif. Joseph is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wall, Roosevelt. The young newlyweds were honored at a wedding breakfast at the Rine Haus, in Salt Lake. A reception in honor of the pair was held August 9 in the Roosevelt ward and another one August 11 in Ari- Roberts, Mrs. Terry Buxton and Mrs. Curtis Dastrup who sang as a trio, songs and selections and especially one song, that has been sung at all receptions of the brides family, Always". Robin Luck played the organ throughout the evening. The bride chose as her going away ensemble, a long yellow dress with white lace. The couple chose to tour the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert and parti of California on their honeymoon. They are making their home in Roosevelt. Both bride and groom, attended high school in Indio, Calif. While in echool the bride wai active in the high echool choir and wu chosen to sing in the Southern California Honor Choir. She has attended BYU and plana to be a teachers aid at the Myton Elementary achool. While in echool the groom was active in athletici. He has recently completed an IDS Mission to the South East Mission. zona. The reception in Roosevelt, was a setting of floweri and beautiful decorations. The bride chose aa her gown a simple white, old fashioned style, featuring a very long chapel train and a floor length veil fell from an eyelet and lace style cap. Her bouquet was white orchids and white carnations tipped in lavender, set in lavender and lace and ribbons. The matron of honor was a sister of the bride, Mrs. Donella Wilson. Her gown was white with roses, flowers and pink umbrellas. Bridesmaids were Sonje Hoeke, Sharon Hunter and Linda Ellis, all roommates from Provo. They were dree-sein gowns of white with lavender floweri and lavender and green umbrella adorning them. The brides mother wore a gown of sheer green lace, long and formal. Her flowers were white carnations with baby 'i roses in colors to match. The mother wore a long lavender gown with silver edging with flowers the same as those of the brides mother. John Wall, the bridegrooms brother was best man. There were no ushers. The cake was square with two layers, tiered and decorated with white and lavender floweri. Those eerving were friends of the bride from Provo. Jenifer Rashard, Helen Moore and two nieces, Cindy Johnson and R. S. Sister. In charge of the gifts were a aister of the groom, and her son Pat and Bill Deverish, Lori Bunker from Provo, a friend of the bride cat at the guest book. The program consisted of Mrs. Pat d bride-groom- Saturday Knighters Mr. and Mrs. James Hall and rs. and Mrs. Wesley Jenson entertained the Saturday Knighters Bridge dub, August 25 at the Frontier Grill. A dinner was served and bridge was played during the evening. The prizes were won by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Gates, mr. and Mrs. Jenson and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper. Amelia Moon became the bride of Robert Fawson in a Salt Lake Temple ceremony August 15. FAWSON WED MOON SALT LAKE TEM PLE Amelia Moon and Robert Allen Fawson were united in holy matrimony in the Salt Lake Temple August 15, by Elder John Ingebretson, in a double ring ceremony. Amelia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Moon, Roosevelt and Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fawson, Vallejo, Calif. A reception in honor of the newly married couple was held in the Roosevelt ward cultural hall, August 17. The hall was decorated in an outdoor setting with a brick wall and a gazebo. The bride and grom stood in front of the gazebo to greet their guests. Chrysanthemums of blue, yellow and lavender with baby breath were used in the decoration. The bride was lovely in a gown of white organza, trimmed in lace medallions sewn down the front of the grown, on the sleeves and around the edge. A small bow was at the back. A long cathedral veil and train fell from her headpiece, it was also trimmed in the lace medallions. She carried a bouquet of aix cymbidums orchids with slephanoits and ming ferro baby breath. Catherine Moon, a aister of the bride was her maid of honor. She looked lovely in a long yellow gown of organza with floral french bouquets. She carried a french bouquet and wore a large yellow garden hat. The bride had four bridesmaids, which stood in line, they were, Mrs. Fred Stout, St. Louis. Mo.; Mrs. Steven Smith, Roosevelt; Mrs. John Edrington, Waiphau; Miss Liz Fawson. sister of the groom; Miss Ga.vle Warner, a cousin, Phoenix, Ariz. Miss Brenda Riehens, Provo and Miss Jan Bellon. Roosevelt, all ladies wore gowns similar to each other and were kmg of blue organza with printed french bouquets. They wore large blue garden hats and rarried french bouquets. Mothers of the bride and groom wore light blue crepe gowns, trimmed in yellow, blue and pink lace. Their flowers were yellow roses. Mrs. J. M. Belisle, Many, La., grandmother of the bride was in attendance and stood in the reception line. She wore a blue chiffon gown and her corsage was of yellow roses and split blue carnations. Donald and Jim Fawson, brothers of the groom were best men at the reception. Fathers of the bride and groom were in blue tuxedos, best men were in yellow tuxedos. The groom wore a tuxedo of ivory brocade. Friends working in the kitchen were Mrs. Bob Fausett, Mrs. Murell Johnson, Mrs. Earl Murphy and Mrs. Harold Timothy. The wedding cake was three tiered with yellow flowers and topped with a bouquet of mixed flowers matching the bridesmaids bouquet. Mrs. Allan Harrison, Janie Labrum, Cathy Chisel Tracy Zoller and Julie Taylor were in charge of serving. Delaine and Deon Bird, Maureen Duke were in charge of gifts. Acting as gift bearers were Mark Olson. Jon Brumfield, Steve Smith and Damon Stout Sitting at the guestbook were Janae Timothy and AlJean Snow. During the reception, music was played on the organ by Gwen Riehens and Brent Bellon. Of special interest were wooden plaques on the serving tables, telling of the romance of Bob and Amelia. A little forget-me-no- t bouquet completed the table decorations. The bride chose as her going away ensemble a two piece knit suit of mauve color and trimmed ecrulace. The couple honeymooned in Shasta Mts. of northern California. They will make their home in Fairfield, Calif. REGISTRATION! Mrs. Lynn Labrum and Mrs. Robert lfuish won the bridge prizes. 3 D's Bridge club Open house honors couple on anniversary The family of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Freston announce that their parents are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary and will honor them at an open house Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Roosevelt 2nd ward cultural hall from 7 to 9:30 p.m. with a program at 9 p.m. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to drop by and greet the "newlyweds." (no gifts please). Jesse Vernal Freston was born Sept. 28, 1900 in Orangeville, Emery County, to Samuel Henry and Mary Elizabeth Page Freston. He came to the Uintah Basin in 1906 with his parents and the family homesteaded on the Page Bench. The original log house and part of the land is still in the family, being owned by a son Boyd Freston, Arcadia. Dora Lucretia Freston was born July 26, 1906 in Vernal Uintah County, to Samuel Archie and Tina Lucrretia Jenkins and joined her family who were already homesteading one mile east of Roosevelt, the land and home now being owned by the Shislers. They were married Sept. 15, 1923 by Judge G. Hanson in Duchesne. The mar riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Nov. 3, 1963 by President Zufelt. They are the parents of four sons, J. Dorrs nt, S. Wendell, Roosevelt: Boyd Lee, Arcadia; Randy Lynn, Kaysville and two daughters. Mrs. Norman D. (Norma Rae) Clark, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Coy (Verna Jeanne) Durfee, Salt Lake. Other proud posterity is their 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Milligan take pleasure in announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Barcy to Randy Huber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darlene Huber and the later Merlin E. Huber of Lapoint. Barcy is a 1973 graduate of Union high school where she was active as varsity cheerleader, a member o! drill team and a representative at Girls State. She was also FFA Sweetheart Queen in 1972. Randy is a 1972 graduate of Uintah high school where he was active in football. The young couple plan to be married November 9. After which they plan to make their home in Lapoint. The time is 7 p.m. Sunday school classes will begin Sept. 9 at 5:45 for all children beginning at age three years. The Rev.
