Duchesne's new Seminary teacher and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harper are in town this week spending their spring break getting a hume ready to occupy when school is out for the summer. They hope to purchase Mrs. Nellie Jones old home and the Harpers have three child ren. uvl Mr. and Mrs. David Sam entertained Bishop H. Karen Ashcraft, manager, Salt Lake Community, Health Center, has spent the past few weeks at Con A'More. She Is trained in student behavior modification and works with lingular student with The Federation of Womens Club, from both Vernal and Roosevelt, adopted a project this past December to donate to Special Children of the "New Life Training Center in Vernal and the "Con A' More school in Myton. The project, selling candy, showed a tidy sum of (300.00, half of which went to the school in Vernal and the other half to the Con A' More" school in Myton. According to Renee Miller, vice president of the District the school in Myton professed a desire to purchase a movie projector and it was decided to use part of the money for this purpose. Bill Lewis, director of program training for Special Education, Duchesne County School Board, states that Con A' More is an Italian phrase meaning "With Love" and that describes the feelings of the persone! working with the children to a "tee". The school has only been in operation for three years and already shows progress in its program of training the children. The purpoee of the program is to teach the children, safety practices, good social behaviour and adjustment, arts and crafts and motor through the physical education training, to name just a few. And there is a new program called Distar which is an academic development program, teaching thoae with a mental capacity of age three, language development, reading and also number skills. Many people work with the children, directly and indirectly and all have a very special feeling for the children. Mrs. Ron (Carol) Liddell, Duchesne and Mrs. Lucille Whitehead, Bluebell are the two ladies who spend their days working directly with the children as teachers. Kathryn Mangan, from the Roosevelt Apologies are tendered to thoiea'who were all ready for their trash to be picked up in the designated areas thia past Saturday. Due to complications the trucks were unable to be used at that time. The City Council have offered the help of the City Crew and trucks, though, for this coming Friday. This will be for Friday April 20. At 7 a.m. trucks and crews will be around the business district to clean mud off the streets and walks. Merchants can expect them.
