Show STANDARD Roosevelt, UU Thursday, March 22, 1971 Neighborhood Sew Monday Bridge Yacks host Mrs. Leona Riding hosted the Neighborhood Sewing club Wednesday, March 14. Mrs. Ralph Lloyd was a guest. The evening was spent doing different kinds of handwork and visiting. A refreshment was served. Mrs. Richard Adams hosted the Monday Rridge club Monday afternoon. Mrs. Morrill Labrum was a guest. A luncheon was served and bridge was played. Mrs. Ida Harrison and Mrs. Thelma Linck won the prizes. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Yack heated a Bridge party and dinner at their home, this past week. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Oberhansly, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Margaret Miller, Lee Cheves, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Galley. The Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Came Commission of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, having made due and thorough investigation and received recommendations from Federal technicians and other qualified persons find that certain rules and regulations are necessary for the conservation and wlee use of fishing resources on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UTE INDIAN TRIBE FISH AND GAME COMMISSION, that by virtue of authority granted by the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee under Ordinance dated October 9, 1950, approved by the Secretary of the Interior, that It hereby declares and proclaims the following rules and regulations which shall be In full force and effect April 19. 1973, through April 14. 1973, unless otherwise specified, subject to change, however, by the Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Game Commission. CENERAL REGULATIONS: The talcing of fish shall be opened to angling on the trust lands or lands under the Jurisdiction of ths Ute Indian Tribe during the hours from 4:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Mountain Standard Time, as hereinafter specified. Chumming shall be prohibited on all Reservation -- It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take game fish by any means other than angling. Angling shall mean fiahlng with one rod, pole or troll board, held In the hands of or attended by the person angling. Angling is permitted with ony belt except game fish or parts thereof and live fish. Snagging" and Gaffing" are Illegal. Snag or gaff hooks" are hooka with or without handle used to take fish in such manner that the fish do not take the hook voluntarily in its mouth. Carp and sucxers may be taken for personal, noncommercial use from waters open to angling by angling andor any other method or means EXCEPT gill nets, trammel nets, trawl lets, hoop nets, fyke nets, electrical devices, chemicals, explosives, or firearms. AH of the Ute Indian Tribe must have both the Ute Tribal Fishing Permit and the State of Utah Fishing License on his person in order to angle upon the trust land of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, provided, that the dally bag and possession limit for children, twelve years of age and under, shall be four (4) fish regardless of weight, sixe or species, except for lake Trout, the dally bag or possession limit of which Is two (2). COUPLE TO MARRY IN AUGUST Mr. and Mrs. Clair Farnsworth of Dana Point, Calif., and ML Home, Utah, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kris Farnsworth to Douglas A. Mann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Mann of San Clemente, Calif. Miss Farnsworth graduated from San Clemente High school, Calif., in February, 1973 and is planning to enroll at Saddleback College in April Mr. Mann is a 1970 graduate of San Clemente high school, Calif., and is cur-- . rently a junior at Fullerton University, Calif., where he intends to receive teacher's credentials and a BA in the spring Mr. and Mrs. Rick Robbins hosted the 500 club on Saturday evening at their home. Enchiladas were served. High prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Mike Floyd, low by Mr. and Mrs. Brent Nielsen and the floating prize by Denise Floyd. Mothers Club The Duchesne Mother's Club was held Thursday evening at the Elementary Multi purpose room with Sylvia Barney and Gayle Young as hostesses. This was a special meeting honoring the mothers. A Chinese dinner was served to 17 members and 13 guests. The tables were decorated with the SL Patricks Day theme. The program was emceed by Erma Mayhew, a piano sok) by Colleen Ercanbrack, dance by Carolyn Moon and Sue Wardle, story by Donna Hansen, song by Elaine Farnsworth. A tribute to mothers was given by Barbara Rowley. The next meeting will be held at the home of Kathie Kielbasa. Roosevelt DUP The Roosevelt Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their March meeting at the residence of Mrs. Dot Ottosen, Friday March 16. The lesson "Apportionment of Land in Salt Lake Valley and Bring the Indians to Duchesne" was given by Mrs. Ruth Martin. Fourteen members were present A salad luncheon was served by Mrs. Melba Eksund and Mrs. Fontella Tomlinson. Willard Malhison and Mrs. Robert Oberhansly the meeting. Club president, Mrs. Max Nelson conducted the business for the evening. It was decided a day of quiltig would be held at the home of Beth Brown, the following Wednesday to begin work on a Tricot bedspread. The program consisted of a tape being played. The tape was of a talk given by Dan Moore, who works for the Los Angeles Times and is also a former educator. The talk prompted a lively discussion among the club members.
