Thursday, November 18, 1971 Leon Mallo and George Jensen, whoare attending the Trade Tech at Provo visited over the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Archie Mallo and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jensen. -- Mr. and Mrs. Don Martinez were In Colorado Springs over the weekend. They attended the funeral of his sister and her Visiting it the home of their parents, husband who were killed In a car accident. Mr, and Mrs. Edmund Bench over the Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bancroft were In Salt Lake on Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Parry Grant were In Orem four days last week visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Thomas and OF THE family. Mr, and Mrs. Clifton Mlckelson attended the Lion's District Cabinet and zone meeting held at the Hotel Vernal on Saturday evening of last week. Cliff and Dorothy Mlckelson were in Provo on Saturday for the Homecoming vents at BYU and visited with their son Kenneth Farnsworth who is attending college there. They watched the Duchesne Band and Debutantes march In the parade and attended the football game. They traveled on to Nephl and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Mlckelson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Day, Mrs. N. L. Wlmmer, Mrs. Maxine Burdlck and Mrs. Phil Martin attended the funeral of a cousin Viola Bona In Payson on Saturday of last week. Mrs. Pattl Burdlck Is In the Roosevelt hospital where she underwent surgery on (CI w I Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shaw received word of a new granddaughter born to their daughter Evelyn and Grant Johnson in Idaho Falls, Ida. The litUe miss weighed In at 9 lbs 12 oz November 9 and has two sisters and three brothers. She will answer to Jenette Evelyn. Symptthys goes to the family of Dale and Glenna Anderson with the death of her father, Laren Ross who passed away following surgery In Salt Lake. Mrs. Max Nelson accompanied her daughter Cheri Womack, Marge and Emi-ly- n Houston to Salt Lake Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arvln Bellon were in Provo visiting and also In Salt Lake where Arvln attended a post master meeting during the week. Mrs. Thelma Anderton went to Salt Lake Thursday to be with her daughter JoAnn during surgery Friday. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Freston recently released from the Indian mission gave their missionary reports In Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Ralph Smith also witnessed the marriage of Susan Forsgren and LaVere Fabrlzlo. Ralph Smith Is gathering subscriptions for the church magazines for our ward. Mrs. Howard Jenkins accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Timothy to Salt Lake on Saturday where they visited their sister, Dorthella and Bill Durfey. The Durfey's are the parents of a baby boy Just four days old. This makes five boys and one girl for the Durfey's. Grandparents are the Earl Murray's who were at the Durfey home assisting with the new baby and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood visited in Salt Lake over the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Josephine Atwood before she left on the plane for Alaska to spend the winter months with her daughter and son in law, Leo and Barbara Hardman. Mrs. Atwood Is 94 years old. These people are all former Mt. Emmon's residents. Lloyd Murray and two friends of Salt Lake were In Bluebell on Saturday hunting pheasant and visiting. The Keith Duke family gave the program in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Betts are grandparents of a baby girl, born Nov. 12 to Mr. and Mrs. Squire of Logan. BB guns, flippers use not allowed in area Roosevelt chief of police, Dave Roberts has issued a warning to young people of the area who are using BB guns and flippers within the city limits. There has been some damage to large plate glass windows reported by the shots from these weapons. Chief Roberts said that anyone picked up with one of these BB guns or flippers would be prosecuted. A number of stores in Roosevelt have been hit by youngsters using these guns and it can not be tolerated, said the police chief.
