Show had his leg hurt while wrestling at West high school. Terry Cox son of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Cox returned home Tuesday from Vietnam for a 30 day furlough. He took his basic training at San Diego , Calif. He has been gone nearly a year. His wife and baby live at Vernal. He will report back to San Diego. The school part on their Christmas , Jr. Mr. and Mr. Max Rasmussen of Montana visited his sister, Mrs, Grace Moore and daughter Dixie Sunday afternoon and evening, The Whlterocks Irrigation held their annual meeting at the Lapolnt chapel Sa- turday, December 13 and elected the fol- lowing officers for the coming year. The have one other girl. Grandparents are his parents at Roosevelt, and her mother, Mrs. Darlene Huber and great Dec. 13, Mechams grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Lamb Lapolnt. Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison was In Salt Lake during the week for a medical check up. She also did temple work while there. Mr, and Mrs, Jurlus Goodrich of Midvale visited Mr. and Mrs. Orville Swain on Sunday. The lapolnt MIA went for a hay ride Tuesday night. They went to the different homes In the ward and sang Christmas Carols, then went back to the chapel for refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. George Allred and daughter, Susan and Gayla left Wednesday morning for California. They will meet their son Captain Andrew (Andy) Allred and Miss Pamela Jeane Carlson of Lake Tahoe, Calif, and all go thru the Oakland Temple on Friday, where they will Their reception will be be married. The Relief Society had their regular Social Relations meeting Tuesday, after the lesson was given they had a social. Games were played, led by Shirley Huber, pop corn balls and home made candy were served to the ladles present. The Kenneth Martin family left Thursday morning for Oregon where they will live this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steele of Rangley visited the Art Taylors during the week. They also visited her Aunt Mrs. Mary Jarrell at the hospital In Vernal. The Primary held their Christmas program at the Lapolnt chapel Wednesday. The children put on a program after which the primary officers gave them a Christmas treat. Mr. and Mrs. David Murray, Vernal, are parents of a baby boy born Sunday December 14 at the hospital In Vernal. The Murrays have one other boy. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Lamb. The DUP held their regular Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Mildred Mowery on Thursday. Christmas carols were sang. Merl Jenkins gave several numbers on her accordion. Bunco was played. High going to Merl Jenkins, and low to Lavella Mathews. A lovely Christmas plate lunch was served by the hostess Mildred Mowery and gifts were exchanged. Mrs. Rita Hartle accompanied her mother Mrs. Alfred Helqulst of White-roc- ks to Sprlngvllle to visit relatives and friends the weekend. Dog tax collector named by Roosevelt The Roosevelt city council appointed Kent Brighton as city dog tax collector and as of this date the Roosevelt city ordinance regarding dogs will be strictly enforced, said city officials. "It shall be unlawful for any person to own or keep a dog within the Roosevelt city limits without making application to the dog tax collector for that purpose and pay an annual lax of $10 for each female dog and $5 for each male dog (the license fee for a spayed female dog shall be the same as tor a male.) It shall be the duty of the owners of all dogs so licensed to provide said dogs with suitable collar with tag attached and all dogs not so liclensed and collared found running at large shall be Impounded. Thomas, and Flora Fabrlzlo, Earl and Ina Van Tassell, Leo Turnbow and Connie Lee accompanied by Florence Turnbow Speakers sang two musical numbers. were Nathan Jones and Bishop Delbert Adamson. Closing prayer was given by Val Thompson and dedication of the grave was by Ervan Clegg. Burial was In the Tablona Cemetary. Fall Bearers were Ken Price, Larry Ivie, Dewey Glnes, mi Ivie, Lee Cheney, Buddy Glnes. She Is survived by two daughters and four sons, tour sisters and one brother. She was born April 26, 1888 at Center Creek, Wasatch County, She married William Me, November 6, 1907. She died December 4 1969 In Salt lake City.
