They also toured New York City. They were gone s week. Mrs. Vera Larsen left Monday to spend the winter months with members of her family in Paragon ah and St. George. Mrs. Cynthia Larsen Is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Thurlo Richens for the winter. Mrs. Ralph McKinnon and Mrs. Lorain McKinnon were Ogden visitors Friday.. Martha Gilbert spent two days at the Duchesne County hospital receiving medical attention. Open house held for the Robert Michies An open house was held at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Ariel Miehie December 13, honoring the recent marriage of their son Robert and Lall Rae Wilkinson. Standing in the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Miehie, Bishop and Mrs. Kay Wilkinson, parents of the bride, Myla Jean Bundy, maid of honor, Marilene Nocha, sister of the bride and Clayton Wright best man, Mrs. Orvil Rudy was in charge of the guest book, Mrs. Clifford Drolllnger and Mrs. Gordon Heaton took care of the gifts. Refreshments were prepared by Mrs. Belva Calder and daughter Jana and Mrs. Lorna Mayberry and daughter Holly all of Vernal. The guests were greeted at the door by Carolyn and Debra Farnsworth. The young couple received many beautiful and useful gifts. Roosevelt Stake plans Wear's Eve dance New The Roosevelt Stake is planning a New Years Eve Dance to be held at the Stake Center. It will begin at 8 p.m. and admission will be $1 per couple. Confetti and refreshments will be sold. All MIA age 14 years and Older are invited to attend. Culture Club sees Christmas centerpiece demonstration Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Iloth are at home in Logan follow ing their marriage October 9. She in the former Bonnie Haueter. Paul Bonnie Haueter, Bonnie Haueter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Haueter, married Paul Hoth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hoth October 9, in the Logan LDS Temple. Following the wedding, a wedding breakfast honoring the couple was given by the grooms parents, in the Colony Room at the Union Building where family and close friends attended. A program consisting of a piano solo by Kathy Olsen, dance by Lynnette F rand-se- n, song by Bonnie Uresk, piano solo by Melanie Liddell, pantomime by Bruce Brower, and a vocal duet by Janet Ross and Beth Duke was emceed by Bishop Leon Ross. After a honeymoon to Los Angeles, the couple is making a home in Logan, where Paul is employed at Thiokol, near Brigham City and Bonnie is employed at Utah State University. Socialette Club has Christmas party CANDY SPECIAL! The Socialette club held a Christmas party Dec. 11 at the Roosevelt Stake Center. Mrs. Ferrell Crosier and Mrs. Clay Frandsen were the hostesses. A delicious ham buffet dinner was served to club members and their part- Box Milk Chocolates ners. The Socialette Club sextet, composed of Judy Rawlings, Karen Shelley, Colleen Mantyla, Diane Buxton, Lurrlne Duncan and Paula Bell sang three Christmas They were accompanied by Pat songs. Strlngham. Bert Dannenberg performed a magician act which was reported to be very entertaining. Christmas carols were sung and presents were exchanged. There were 34 members and their partners present. Bede Is a former resident of Roosevelt where she graduated from Union high schooL She is presently s sophomore at the University of Utah majoring in sociology. Joint Installation held for Masonic Lodges Basin Lodge N. 20 F and AM of Roosevelt combined with Ashley Lodge No. 28 in Vernal for s joint installation Saturday evening. The installation was preceded by s banquet for the Masons and their wives at the Hotel Venal. Three principal officers of the Roosevelt lodge installed were Worshipful Master, Ron McAlister, Duchesne; Senior Warden, Anselmo Valverde, Ft. Duchesne; and Junior Warden, John Miller, Duchesne. Christmas decorations were used to brighten the room. The evening was spent playing bridge. The prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malnar.
