Wednesday to attend the funeral of their cousin Doyle Moon. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Roberts are the parents of a baby boy born Tuesday at tlie Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ross and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ross went to Logan, Wednesday to attend the wedding of Coleen Fenn and David Stevens at the Logan Temple. Melanie and Tanil Mechain who have been visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross, returned to their homes In Tremonton, last week. Mrs. Marie Schieler and her nephew, Otinar Jochum arrived at the Salt take airport, July 17, where they were met by Mr. and Mrs. Reed Peterson, daughter and son In law of Mrs. Schieler. Twelve years ago Mrs. Schieler and her late husland made their home in Myton for five years and then returned to Germany. Mr. Jochum will visit here for two weeks, then fly to Chicago and Boston, then on to New York City where he will join his aunt In late August and both will visit relatives and later return to Germany by plane. Tlie morning service was presented by Mr. George Stewart. A social hour was enjoyed by the group as they greeted Mr. Stewart and his wife who came to attend the service. Howard and Fontella Jenkins are the leaders. It was a well planned party. The men played basketball and the women visited. Pauline Winkler was In charge of the chicken. Those enjoying an evening of Soil conservationist transferred to area Mark M. Petersen, Soli Conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service, has recently been transferred from Vernal to the Roosevelt Office, according to Gordon Heaton, District Conservationist for SCS, Roosevelt. He will be assisting farmers and ranchers In Duchesne County in developing and applying conservation plans on their land. Mr. Petersen and his wife , Kathy, have two children, Jill and Rex. They have now made their home here In Roosevelt. Mr. Petersen grew up on a ranch near Tremonton, served two and a half years In Denmark as a missionary for the LDS Church, and graduated from Utah State University In 1967 with a degree In Range Management. He has been working with the SCS in Vernal for two years. MARK M. They also plan to visit the Roy Christensens in Canada before returning home about Aug. 1. Bishop Bolton and family enjoyed a tour up through Flaming Gorge, Rock Springs and Fr. Brldger on July 4. Alfred Helqulst was called to the bedside of his father, July 13. He had suffered a heart attack and Is still In serious condition in a Salt Lake hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem recently visited at the Gerald Boltons. Joyce Bolton also visited in Orem with them this past week. Ann Bolton and a girl friend, from Smith Dakota, who are both employed at , Yellowstone Park, visited Friday and Saturday with Anns folks, the Gerald Boltons.
