Mrs. Thelma Lamb and Mrs. Darlene Huber went to Salt Lake on Tuesday to see a doctor, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Christensen, Salt Lake were visitors in Lapolnt on Saturday. Karla Lee a student at the Young University, Brigham Provo spent the weekend at home with the Ray and Homer Lees daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Nielson, Heber spent the week here visiting her grandparents, the, Travis Neilsons and Glendon Lamb and other relatives for a week. Mrs. Pearl Perry received word from her son Marvin Perry, Dragerton that his wife was entering the St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake for surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hor-rocreceived word from their son, Glenn, who has been stationed in North Carolina that he had been transferred to Ft. Lee, Va. for more schooling. Richard Lamb, a student at the Brigham Young University, visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Lamb and other relatives the weekend. Calif, during the week to visit with Terry Cox and attend the graduating exercises of Terry. He is in the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee received word that their son Wayne who was wounded at Vietnam was in a Denver hospital. He was in a hospital at Yokohama, Japan; then at a hospital in California. The Lees left Wednesday morning to visit him and also to visit with their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Price and daughter who live in Denver. Bishop Kenneth Hartle and wife and daughter Kenna Dee and LeAnn went to Salt Lake Saturday to see his mother Mrs. Fred Hartle who is very ill in the LDS Hospital. The Lapolnt Primary Lia-hogirls held their Daddy date at the Lapolnt chapel Friday. A large crowd was present. They square danced and had a hot supper. Mrs. Lila Caldwell and Ruth Winn of the Stake Board Primary, Vernal . Manila visited at the Winfred Longs last weekend. Wilma Robb is caring for the Niles Chapman family while they are on a trip to Las Vegas. Paula and Toni Hoopes attended a bridal shower for Terrle Warren in Neel a on Jan. gannGGBa (j (QIXi (2I22X) A group of leaders and boys enjoyed an outing to Bear Lake on Jan. 17, 18, and 19. Max Quick, Murray Sant and George Walkup and Kenneth Long accompanied Wayne and Rodney Rassmussen, Jerry Mitchell, Danny Florez, Johnny Arrow-chi- s, Kim Robb, Brad Sant, and Paul and Randy Quick on the trip. The Ogden 7th ward hosted the group. They slep in their recreation hall and were served lunches by members of that ward. Mayor Bart also a high councilman and former Bishop of the 7th ward extended the group many courtesies. A group from that ward also slept in the recreation hall with them on the 17th. They enjoyed a tour of the major stores, the fire dept., the Police Dept, besides spending most of the 18th at Bear Lake fishing. They attended Priesthood meeting at the 7th ward. The Murray Sants are former members of the Ogden 7th ward. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mitchell received word that their Grandson Pvt. Maxle E. Mitchell is now stationed in Chu Sai, Vietnam. He is assigned to the Combat Engineer Division. He left for overseas duty Dec. 9, after 4 12 months of training. He reports he is fine, but a long way from home. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long, Wol-thi- IB. Loa Hoopes and Zella Pike visited with Marlene McKee and girls on Jan. 16. A ward budget supper is being planned for Jan. 25 at the school kitchen. The US Army Ammunition Depot, Miesau, is located on the western edge of Germany, near the town of Miesau, a small rural community, approximately 40 miles west of the French border. Situated in the scenic Palatinate forest region, it is ideally located in the center of Europe, on the left bank of the Rhine River. The largest city in the vicinity is Kaiserslautern, approximately 18 miles east of Miesau, with a population of about 100,000. With almost 45,000 servicemen, dependents and civilians residing in the area, it is the largest American community outside the United States. The US Army Ammunition Dept, Miesau, is the largest US ammunition storage point outside the American continent and perhaps the most active one in the world.
