Approximately 19S yards of beautiful heavy duty green and brown mixture carpeting was laid at a cost of near $1,800. $1,200 of this amount was paid from funds of the Utah State Library and the $600 balance by Uintah and Duchesne school districts. This Is part of a five-ye- ar program to Improve the libraries In the state. The main reading room, reference room and office were carpeted. New equipment which had been added to the library during the past several years includes two new units to the charging desk and two individual study carrels. Mrs. Blanche Murphy, librarian, noted that they hope to purchase new tables and chairs for the reading room with funds next year.
