If a person bought this insurance and the windows of his house or car were waxed or soaped, it was the Debutantes' duty to wash these windows. Saturday, Nov. 2 was the big clean-u- p day. Tabiona and Altamont participated with Duchesne in a round-robi- n volleyball tournament at Duchesne, Wed., Oct. 30. Duchesnes boys were victorious in both of their rounds. Duchesne's girls won their round with Tabiona, but not with Altamont. The dance after the volleyball game was sponsored by Duchesne. Duchesne a cheerleaders sponsored cake walk before the dance. This was the last volleyliall game scheduled for this year. Prior to the carnival on the same day was a "Mr. Irreslstable" contest. The winner, Daryl Grant, was announced that night at the dance. Mon., Nov. 4 marked the end of the first term at school. Report cards were distributed on the 14th, Since Nov. G was General Election Day, the American Problems class held a mock election assembly. Campaign speeches were given by some of the candidates, then the voted In class groups. The results of the mock election were exactly the same as the actual election results except for the 2 yr. county commissioner, the school board member, and proposition no. 2. The American Legion Girls' and Boys Staters report was held Nov. G, at the American Legion Hall at 6:30 p.m. The reports were given by Julie Maureen Moon, Melanie Meriwether, and Defonna Defa was not Eleshuk (Linda present.) Also, reports were given by Grant Earl, Ken Bench, and Rick Williams (Dale Giles was not present.) Jrs. who were interested in attending Girls and Boys' State were Invited to attend. The Harvest Ball was held Nov. 8 and was sponsored by the Jr. class. Paula Puckett was crowned as the Harves Ball queen and Dayrl Grant was Harvest Ball king. The D.H.S. band traveled to Vernal, Sat., Nov. 9 to march In the Veterans Day Parade. There were many other schools attending, also. We are all looking forward to having our band play at basketball games and other events throughout the year.
